We are located in Houston, Texas and we take pride in the fact that all of our bunnies are raised indoors as members of the family! We believe raising our bunnies indoors has a positive effect on their temperament. Our bunnies are handled as soon as they're born and multiple times a day all the way through until they go to their new homes. Because they're in our home full time, our bunnies are used to regular household routines, such as
Kitchen sounds (blender, pans banging, water running) and food smells
Kids playing. We have 6 young kids. Our kids can get loud when playing and it's important that our bunnies are conditioned to random noises, movements and all the other craziness that comes along with kids.
Dogs. We have a 6 year old American Bully who is super gentle with all of our bunnies. We make sure our babies get lots of play time with our dog so that they are used to any potential canine-family members who may already be in their new homes.
Vacuuming
Washer and dryer running
Fast movements
Doors opening and closing
and anything else that normally goes on inside of homes that outdoor-raised bunnies may struggle adjusting to.
We currently raise Mini Plush Lops, Netherland Dwarf, and Holland Lops. For anyone unfamiliar, there are more details on the breeds listed below. At this time, our bunnies are closed to the public to prevent risk of illness. We are more than happy to video chat through Facebook Messenger or Zoom for you to see specific bunnies you may be interested in.
This is our rarest breed that we are slowly moving our focus to. This is a small breed rabbit with an average adult weight of 3.5 pounds or less. The special thing about this breed is it's unique combination of soft, velvety fur and floppy ears along with it's small and compact size. Mini Plush Lops are still a very new breed, especially in the United States. They usually have friendly, happy personalities, much like a cat, although this does vary from each individual bunny. You can read more about the history of Mini Plush Lops Here
This small breed has a maximum adult weight of 3.5 pounds. Not to be confused with the Mini Lop (NOT Mini Plush Lop). Holland Lops are smaller than Mini Lops (NOT Mini Plush Lop), have the iconic floppy ears and have personalities that are usually pretty sweet and calm. This was the second breed we owned and Holland Lops have had a place in our hearts ever since.
This is one of the smallest rabbit breeds, with the maximum adult weight being 2.5 pounds and adult size just slightly bigger than a bottle of water. This was the very first breed we owned and the breed that made us fall in love with rabbits completely. This breed is known for it's very tiny ears and cute, round face. As always personality varies, but we haven't met a Netherland Dwarf that we didn't completely fall in love with!
