Dear Colleagues,

It is my honor to serve Korean nursing professionals in Houston area as a President of HKNA starting this year, 2020.

Unfortunately, we all are facing unexpected difficult situations due to COVID-19 throughout the nation, and Houston area is not an exception. I want to sincerely say thank you to all our hardworking Korean frontline health care professionals including, but not limited to, nurses, NPs, CRNAs, CNS and all other health care workers for your dedicated effort and selflessness. We would like to confront this situation altogether, and ultimately, we will be able to help build our health care system stronger for the future. HKNA will be here to support all the Korean nursing professionals and Korean community in Houston area together. I hope everyone to stay safe and God bless you.

안녕하세요.

HKNA 회장으로 임명된 김미래 라고 합니다.

사실상 제가 임명되자마자 COVID-19 사태가 불거져서 이 상황으로 HKNA로서 함께 할 수 있는 일들이 줄어들게 되어 많이 안타깝습니다. 저 뿐 아니라, 일하고 계신 곳곳에서 모두들 여러가지 어려움이 많으실 것으로 생각합니다. 특별히frontline 에서 앞장서서 헌신하고 계신 많은 한국계 간호 및 의료업 종사자 여러분들께 존경한다는 말씀을 드리고 싶습니다. 이번의 재난 상황을 통해 우리가 함께 몸담고 있는 의료계가 앞으로 벌어질 수 있을 다른 재난들을 대비할 수 있는 기회로 모두 거듭나기를 간절히 바라며, 저희 HKNA도 휴스턴 지역의 한국인 간호계 및 의료계 종사자, 또한 한국 교민들을 함께 지지하고 싶습니다.
