Are you a longtime resident of North Omaha or a fan of unique architecture? Then you know the community is home to many distinct houses. However, the further north you go the harder it is to find them! One of those hard-to-find homes was tucked away in Ponca Hills. This is a history of the now-lost house and the family who built it.

Leaving his career as a teacher, Kenneth had to take a job with the Omaha World-Herald as a journalist when the Great Depression started in 1929. Within a few years, the bottom fell out of the real estate market in Omaha and he and his wife bought land in the Ponca Hills to build their dream home.

After buying land in the Ponca Hills from the pioneer T.E. Price family farm along Ponca Road, in 1932 the couple worked with a young architect just getting started to design a unique home called Blue Windows. An old famous North Omaha brickyard was closing in 1932, and Kenneth hauled away the bricks they used to construct their kiln to use on his new house. He made double-thick brick walls for insulation with a huge fireplace with roughewn timbers from the surrounding forests.

In 1946, the home was described as a very rustic brick bungalow featuring a large living room with a massive fireplace. It had a single large bedroom and a large kitchen, and the addition was only partly finished. It sat on two acres and was priced at $3,500.

Continuing his civic engagement, during World War II, Kenneth was the leader of the institute on public relations for the Omaha Community Welfare Council. Right after the war in 1946, he became the editor of The Pacific Northwest Cooperative, the official publication of the Pacific Supply Co-Operative in Walla Walla, Washington. He sold his custom home, Blue Windows, and moved away.

The house is apparently lost today. Its location is even harder to identify, because apparently there was no address associated with Blue Windows! It was located on Ponca Road next door to the T.E. Price house and down the hill from the Frank Latenser house at 4014 North Post Road, which was on the hill above it. The Swanson Dairy Farm was across Ponca Road from Blue Windows, and the Ponca School was less than a quarter mile away from the home.

At Central Michigan University, providing you with a safe campus is our top priority. While CMU has one of the safest campuses in the state, it's important that everyone takes steps to keep themselves safe, whether at home, in the workplace, or the classroom.

All locations are tested every other week to ensure they are operational. When any defects are found, they are fixed promptly. If you find a blue light phone which is in need of repair (e.g. not working, not lit, etc.) please contact the CMU Police Department.

Lost and found personnel schedules vary, so call 989-774-1835 for the operational hours or stop by the CMU Police Department and complete a lost and found inquiry form to have our inventory searched for your item.

Please indicate LOST AND FOUND in the subject line of your e-mail. Please do NOT direct lost and found concerns to the generic police email account.

The CMU Police Department attempts to return property to the owners, when ownership can be determined. Inquiries about lost items can be made in person at the department, or by e-mail to cmulostfound@cmich.edu.

4. Once information is received, the CMU Police Department is able to disseminate warnings to the campus community using multiple methods. We are able to notify many people in a timely fashion through applications which alert through phone calls, text messages, emails, and indoor and outdoor speaker systems.

6. CMUPD and EH&S have policies in place for many activities related to severe weather. These include emergency notifications, contact with the National Weather Service, seeking assistance from other agencies, spotter activation, and crisis response. The CMU Police Department also has personnel who are trained in spotting and reporting severe weather, often at its early onset.

Over the course of Part One of the story, you may encounter several Lost Items over the course of the months you are at the Monastery. These items give you a small clue as to who has lost the item, and when speaking to Characters, you can try to give them back a lost item. If you give them the right item, they will increase their bond with you significantly, and any units in your team will also fully raise their motivation.

You can begin returning Lost Items in Chapter 3, by taking on a quest from Jeralt while exploring the Monastery, to find his flask that he's lost somewhere on the Second Floor. Once returned, you'll be able to give back Lost Items to other characters.

Lost Items can appear all over the Monastery when exploring, and usually appear in specific areas each month for specific people. However, Lost Items for characters you cannot recruit, like the leaders of other houses or their bodyguards, shouldn't show up if you are in the wrong house.

For a list of each item that shows up on a month-to-month basis, and who the item can be given to - consult the list below. Note that lost items will stop appearing in Part Two, meaning its your only chance to give them out in Part One.

The following items will appear around the Monastery once you have purchased the Expansion Pass (For Anna), and recruited the other DLC Characters to your team by completing the Cindered Shadows Side Story.

The Boston College Police have a variety of services and resources for members of our community to seek assistance in subjects ranging from traffic and parking issues to lost property on campus. In the event that what you are looking for is unavailable, contact us directly for further support.

The Bike Carefully at Boston College is our department's Bicycle Safety and Registration program. The objective of our program is to promote bike safety and awareness for those who ride bikes on and around campus. Throughout the year, we offer numerous bicyle safety events on campus which include safety inspections with repairs, educational information sharing and free registration.

Boston College prohibits the use, storage, and charging of electric scooters and similar electric transportation devices on all campus roadways, walking paths, parking lots, and green spaces, as well as all University buildings, residence halls, and facilities.

Exceptions to this decision will be made for electric bicycles, provided that users follow all applicable traffic regulations, do not bring their e-bikes into any BC facility, and secure them in outdoor bike racks. Electric mobility aids for individuals with disabilities are also exempted.

The purpose of Eagle Escort Services is to provide safety services for all members of the Boston College community traveling in and around campus. It is provided as a public safety service and is not intended as a substitute for public transportation, the various BC shuttles (including the Grocery & Newton Center shuttle) or local taxi services. Participants may be required to present their Boston College ID to Eagle Escort personnel prior to services rendered.

Boston College students must first contact Health Services in the Thomas More Apartments (617-552-3225) or the Disability Services Office in Maloney Hall 212 (617-552-3470) and ask to be added to the medical transport list for Eagle Escort Services. After this step has been completed, Boston College students may then contact Eagle Escort Services to request transport.

Boston College students with a medical or temporary disability can be picked up and dropped off on Middle Campus once a day. Once classes are complete, a return trip to the residence hall will be provided. If a rest or break is needed between classes, the student may go to Health Services.

The Eagle Escort Van will also be used any time the Primary Care Center determines that a Boston College student, who has been admitted to their office for medical treatment, needs to be transported non-emergency to the Hospital for additional medical services, such as X-rays. Any Boston College student requiring emergency transport to the Hospital will be taken by ambulance.

If safe to do so, Boston College students requesting assistance in the Cleveland Circle area should wait for the Van at the Reservoir T Stop. Notify the Dispatcher if that location is unsafe and an alternative location can be used. Groups of three (3) or more Boston College students are encouraged to make use of the other transportation services available.

As it is our goal to ensure that this service is available for Boston College students who are in genuine need, it is requested that Boston College students remember that the Safety Escort Service is not intended as a substitute for public transportation, the various BC shuttles (including the Grocery & Newton Center shuttle), or local taxi services.

The Boston College campuses are equipped with over 100 emergency call boxes. These units, identified by the blue light on top, are strategically placed throughout campus, as well as in the parking garages. In an emergency, a call box is activated by pressing the emergency button on the front where you are immediately connected with the Boston College Police Department. This activation creates an open line of communication between the person requiring emergency assistance and the police dispatcher.
