PATIENTS HAVE SURGERIES DELAYED AFTER TULSA HOSPITAL RANSOMWARE ATTACK... now that is just crazy. A health service was hit with a ransomware attack on thanksgiving (of all days) which caused them to completely shut everything down. Resulting in many important patients procedure's, like open heart surgery, getting pushed back. I couldn't image getting ready for a procedure just to get told they cant operate due to a ransomware attack, and who even attacks a hospital! The only way I could think to prevent it is to boost cyber security really.
Advocate for the homeless charged with identity theft while working for Oregon city... it really is such a crazy world we live in. A man who was once the president of homeless outreach organization was charged on 19 counts for identity theft. It said in the article "It's not clear how Dahlgren may have known the victims or gotten their personal information." which is so scary. This seemed to be stand up good civilian guy stole the information of four people and he might have not even know them? this is just all so perplexing to me, though if he didn't know them, he probably got their information online. Which you can protect (not prevent) yourself from by being very wary of links and emails you interact with, never giving out your private information to fishy websites, and always making sure you read the terms and conditions on apps and sites before agreeing.
The first article "PATIENTS HAVE SURGERIES DELAYED AFTER TULSA HOSPITAL RANSOMWARE ATTACK" was written by Kaitlyn Deggs for news on 6, published November 27, 2023. It is unbiased and accurate, even giving first hand accounts from a patient effected. It is presented in very short one lined spaced out sentences, which I think helps get to the point faster, pretty much just stating the facts as they are.
The second article "Advocate for the homeless charged with identity theft while working for Oregon city" was written by Marlene Lenthang for NBC news, published November 22, 2023. Everything was unbiased and accurately stated the facts. It's presented in really short paragraphs, though it isn't congruent to the timeline of events and tends to go back and forth to before he was in court and while he was in court.
