This Privacy Policy explains how the Housemate mobile application ("the App", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
Housemate is developed and operated by Melike Colak, an individual developer based in Türkiye.
We collect only the information needed to operate the App.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and your display name. Depending on the sign-in method you choose:
Sign in with Apple — we receive your name and email address. If you choose Apple's "Hide My Email" option, we receive a private relay address instead of your real email, and we never see your real address.
Sign in with Google — we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account.
Email and password — we collect the email address and display name you provide.
Profile photo. If you choose to upload a profile photo, the image you select is stored so it can be shown to your household members. Choosing a photo is optional; the App also offers generated avatar images.
Content you create. Households you create or join, and the content you add to them: tasks, bills, expenses and expense splits, shopping list items, household names, and member roles. This content is shared with the other members of the same household.
Device identifier for notifications. If you enable notifications, we store a push notification token for your device so we can deliver reminders.
Account identifier. A unique user ID is assigned to your account and used to link your data.
We do not collect location data, contacts, browsing history, advertising identifiers, payment card details, or bank account information. Expense amounts you record are shared household records between roommates; the App does not process payments.
We use the information above only to:
provide the App's core features (shared tasks, bills, expenses, shopping lists);
create and manage your account, and identify you to your household members;
send you the reminders and notifications you have enabled;
maintain the security, integrity, and correct operation of the App.
We do not sell your personal data, share it for advertising purposes, or use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
With your household members. Content you add to a household — tasks, bills, expenses, shopping items — is visible to the other members of that household, along with your display name and profile photo. Do not add information to a household that you do not want other members to see.
With service providers. We use Google Firebase to run the App:
Firebase Authentication — sign-in and account management
Cloud Firestore — data storage
Firebase Storage — profile photos
Firebase Cloud Messaging — push notifications
Firebase Cloud Functions — server-side operations, including account deletion
These services process data on our behalf under Google's privacy terms. See Google's Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required to do so by law or valid legal process.
Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure and protected by Google's security measures. Server functions run in the europe-west1 region; data may be processed on servers located in the European Union and other countries where Google operates.
Access to your data is restricted by security rules: only members of the same household can access that household's content.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data and the content associated with your account are deleted as described in Section 5.
You can delete your account at any time from within the App: open Settings and choose the account deletion option. Deletion removes your account, your profile information, and the data associated with your account from our systems.
If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account also revokes the App's Sign in with Apple authorization.
Content you contributed to a shared household may remain visible to other members of that household where it forms part of their own shared records.
You may also contact us at the address in Section 9 to request deletion.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Users in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have these rights under the GDPR; users in Türkiye have equivalent rights under KVKK (Law No. 6698).
You can exercise most of these rights directly in the App (editing your profile, deleting your account). For anything else, contact us at the address in Section 9. We respond to requests within 30 days.
If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. In the European Economic Area, the minimum age is 16 unless a lower age applies in your country. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be announced within the App or on this page.

Bu Gizlilik Politikası, Housemate mobil uygulamasının ("Uygulama") bilgilerinizi nasıl topladığını, kullandığını, paylaştığını ve koruduğunu açıklar. Uygulamayı kullanarak burada açıklanan uygulamaları kabul etmiş olursunuz.
Housemate, Türkiye'de bulunan bireysel geliştirici Melike Çolak tarafından geliştirilmekte ve işletilmektedir.
Yalnızca Uygulamanın çalışması için gerekli bilgileri topluyoruz.
Hesap bilgileri. Hesap oluşturduğunuzda e-posta adresinizi ve görünen adınızı topluyoruz. Seçtiğiniz giriş yöntemine göre:
Apple ile Giriş — adınızı ve e-posta adresinizi alırız. Apple'ın "E-postamı Gizle" seçeneğini kullanırsanız, gerçek adresiniz yerine özel bir yönlendirme adresi alırız ve gerçek adresinizi hiçbir zaman görmeyiz.
Google ile Giriş — Google hesabınızdan adınızı, e-posta adresinizi ve profil fotoğrafınızı alırız.
E-posta ve şifre — girdiğiniz e-posta adresini ve görünen adı topluyoruz.
Profil fotoğrafı. Uygulama hazır avatar seçenekleri sunar; dilerseniz kendi fotoğrafınızı da yükleyebilirsiniz. Yüklediğiniz görsel, ev arkadaşlarınıza gösterilebilmesi için saklanır. Fotoğraf yüklemek isteğe bağlıdır.
Oluşturduğunuz içerik. Oluşturduğunuz veya katıldığınız evler ve bu evlere eklediğiniz içerikler: görevler, faturalar, harcamalar ve harcama bölüşümleri, alışveriş listesi ürünleri, ev adları ve üye rolleri. Bu içerik, aynı evin diğer üyeleriyle paylaşılır.
Bildirimler için cihaz kimliği. Bildirimleri açtığınızda, hatırlatmaları iletebilmek için cihazınıza ait bir bildirim kimliği (token) saklanır.
Hesap kimliği. Hesabınıza benzersiz bir kullanıcı kimliği atanır ve verilerinizi ilişkilendirmek için kullanılır.
Konum verisi, rehber, gezinme geçmişi, reklam kimliği, kart bilgisi veya banka hesabı bilgisi toplamıyoruz. Kaydettiğiniz harcama tutarları, ev arkadaşları arasındaki ortak kayıtlardır; Uygulama ödeme işlemi yapmaz.
Yukarıdaki bilgileri yalnızca şu amaçlarla kullanırız:
Uygulamanın temel işlevlerini sunmak (ortak görevler, faturalar, harcamalar, alışveriş listeleri);
hesabınızı oluşturmak ve yönetmek, sizi ev arkadaşlarınıza tanıtmak;
açtığınız hatırlatma ve bildirimleri göndermek;
Uygulamanın güvenliğini, bütünlüğünü ve düzgün çalışmasını sürdürmek.
Kişisel verilerinizi satmıyoruz, reklam amacıyla paylaşmıyoruz ve başka şirketlerin uygulama veya web sitelerinde sizi izlemek için kullanmıyoruz.
Ev arkadaşlarınızla. Bir eve eklediğiniz içerik — görevler, faturalar, harcamalar, alışveriş ürünleri — görünen adınız ve profil fotoğrafınızla birlikte o evin diğer üyelerine görünür. Diğer üyelerin görmesini istemediğiniz bilgileri bir eve eklemeyin.
Hizmet sağlayıcılarla. Uygulamayı çalıştırmak için Google Firebase kullanıyoruz:
Firebase Authentication — giriş ve hesap yönetimi
Cloud Firestore — veri saklama
Firebase Storage — profil fotoğrafları
Firebase Cloud Messaging — anlık bildirimler
Firebase Cloud Functions — hesap silme dahil sunucu tarafı işlemler
Bu hizmetler verileri bizim adımıza, Google'ın gizlilik koşulları kapsamında işler. Google Gizlilik Politikası: https://policies.google.com/privacy
Yasal nedenlerle. Yasa veya geçerli hukuki süreç gerektirdiğinde bilgi paylaşabiliriz.
Verileriniz Google Firebase altyapısında saklanır ve Google'ın güvenlik önlemleriyle korunur. Sunucu fonksiyonları europe-west1 bölgesinde çalışır; veriler Avrupa Birliği'nde ve Google'ın faaliyet gösterdiği diğer ülkelerdeki sunucularda işlenebilir.
Verilere erişim güvenlik kurallarıyla sınırlıdır: bir evin içeriğine yalnızca o evin üyeleri erişebilir.
Verilerinizi hesabınız aktif olduğu sürece saklarız. Hesabınızı sildiğinizde, kişisel verileriniz ve hesabınıza bağlı içerik 5. bölümde açıklandığı şekilde silinir.
Hesabınızı istediğiniz zaman Uygulama içinden silebilirsiniz: Ayarlar bölümünü açın ve hesap silme seçeneğini kullanın. Silme işlemi hesabınızı, profil bilgilerinizi ve hesabınıza bağlı verileri sistemlerimizden kaldırır.
Apple ile giriş yaptıysanız, hesabınızı silmek Uygulamanın Apple ile Giriş yetkisini de iptal eder.
Ortak bir eve eklediğiniz içerik, o evin diğer üyelerinin kendi ortak kayıtlarının parçası olduğu ölçüde onlara görünmeye devam edebilir.
Silme talebinizi 9. bölümdeki adresten de iletebilirsiniz.
Bulunduğunuz yere göre; kişisel verilerinize erişme, düzeltme, silme veya taşıma, belirli işlemlere itiraz etme veya sınırlama getirme ve açık rızanızı geri alma haklarına sahip olabilirsiniz. Avrupa Ekonomik Alanı ve Birleşik Krallık'taki kullanıcılar bu haklara GDPR kapsamında, Türkiye'deki kullanıcılar ise KVKK (6698 sayılı Kanun) kapsamında sahiptir.
Bu hakların çoğunu doğrudan Uygulama içinden kullanabilirsiniz (profilinizi düzenleyerek, hesabınızı silerek). Diğer talepleriniz için 9. bölümdeki adresten bize ulaşın. Taleplere 30 gün içinde yanıt veririz.
Verilerinizin uygun şekilde işlenmediğini düşünüyorsanız, yerel veri koruma otoritesine (Türkiye'de Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu) şikâyette bulunma hakkınız vardır.
Uygulama 13 yaşın altındaki çocuklara yönelik değildir ve bu yaş grubundan bilerek kişisel veri toplamayız. Avrupa Ekonomik Alanı'nda, ülkenizde daha düşük bir yaş geçerli değilse asgari yaş 16'dır. Bir çocuğun bize kişisel veri verdiğini düşünüyorsanız bizimle iletişime geçin, veriyi sileriz.
Bu Gizlilik Politikası zaman zaman güncellenebilir. En üstteki "Son güncelleme" tarihi geçerli sürümü gösterir. Önemli değişiklikler Uygulama içinde veya bu sayfada duyurulur.
