Lubomir (Lubo) Litov is the David M. Moffett Professor of Corporate Finance, Associate Professor of Finance and Associate Professor of Law at the University of Oklahoma’s Michael F. Price College of Business. He has previously taught courses in finance at the New York University’s Leonard Stern School of Business, the Washington University in St. Louis’ Olin Business School, and the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management. He holds both master’s and doctorate’s degrees in business administration (economics) from the Stern School of Business of the New York University. Prior to his academic career, Professor Litov has worked as investment banker in the mergers and acquisitions division of Bank Austria Creditanstalt Investment Bank AG in Austria. Professor Litov has published articles in top-rated finance and accounting journals such as the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Financial Economics, the Journal of Accounting and Economics, Management Science, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, among others. Professor Litov’s expertise includes mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, investment banking, and corporate valuation.

Paolina C. Medina is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Bauer College of Business of the University of Houston. She conducts research on Household Finance using field experiments and observational data, with a focus on understanding how psychological biases in consumer behavior affect outcomes in financial markets. She received her PhD in Managerial Economics from Northwestern University in June 2017, and her BA in Economics from ITAM in 2009. In between, Professor Medina worked at the Central Bank of Mexico with the group in charge of regulation of retail financial services.

Ehsan Azarmsa is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Illinois Chicago. He obtained his Ph.D. in Financial Economics at the University of Chicago in 2022 (jointly from the Booth School of Business and the Department of Economics). He conducts research in a broad range of areas, including capital markets, inequality, and information economics. Prior to his Ph.D. studies, Professor Azarmsa obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Master’s degree in Economics from the Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. He received a Bronze Medal in the International Math Olympiad (IMO) in 2009, and was an instructor of the Iranian national team for IMO 2014 and 2015. His research has been published in the Journal of Financial Economics, and regularly featured in top finance conferences, including AFA, WFA, and EFA.
