Luxembourg Household Economics and Labor Workshop

The workshop will take place in

LISER - Luxembourg Institute for Socio-Economic Research

Maison des Sciences Humaines, 11 Porte des Sciences, 4366 Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg.


The workshop hotel is Ibis Belval, 3 minutes away from LISER

12 Avenue du Rock'n'Roll, 4361 Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg


LISER and the hotel are in Belval, a university town in the south of the country. You can reach Belval:

  • from Luxembourg City's train station take any train in the direction Esch/Alzette-Pétange or Esch/Alzette-Rodange. Get off at Belval-Université (line 60; 30-minute journey).
  • from Luxembourg Airport take bus 16 to Luxembourg City's train station (bus stop Gare; 25-minute journey) and follow the instructions above. Alternatively, take a taxi directly to Belval (30-minute journey; >100 euro).

Dinner

The workshop dinner will take place on Thursday March 5 at

Chiggeri

in the heart of Luxembourg City. Just before dinner, a guide from the Luxembourg City Tourist Office will walk us around the fortress and old city centre of Luxembourg, a UNESCO world heritage site.

Due to space restrictions we must restrict the guided tour and workshop dinner to presenters.
