Our Mission...

At the House of Mami Wata', we are an online spiritual community, magazine, and safe healing space dedicated to empowering and healing queer people, BIPOC, feminine individuals, and women. We strive to foster open and honest discussions centered around African Traditional Religions, Spiritual Activism, Radical Self Love, Black Joy, Healing, Herbalism, the Black Dollar, Meeting Needs, Self-Actualization, Gender, Sexual Orientation, and African history both after and before slavery.

Recognizing that we are all children of the water, born from the watery wombs of our mothers, we deeply honor the Divine Feminine. Our mission is to uplift the creative and restorative energy of the Divine Feminine, while also highlighting the significance of Queer history as an integral part of African American & Indigenous history. We firmly believe that African American & Indigenous history is crucial to world history, and it is our aim to showcase the longstanding presence and contributions of the Queer community in society, religion, and the family.

One of our core objectives is to restore the rightful recognition of Queer heroes in history as prominent figures in the fight for Human Rights. To be Queer is to deviate from or not be empowered, encompassed, embraced, or encouraged by binary and misogynistic social systems, thus bending their norms. We define "Queer" as inclusive of anyone or anything that empowers, encompasses, embraces, or encourages BIPOC, feminine, womanist, lesbian, gay (homosexual), Trans, and bisexual history and culture through socialization and radical activism.

Through our community, we strive to equip individuals with the knowledge, resources, and support needed to navigate their personal journeys(including but not limited to gender identity). We aim to provide a platform where our community can heal, grow, and thrive, fostering a sense of unity and acceptance. Our ultimate goal is to create a world where healing triumphs over hatred, enabling us to come together, heal, and uplift one another.

Let us join hands, hearts, and spirits to foster a community where love, understanding, and empowerment prevail. Together, we can heal, not hate.

Lovingly,

Papi Wata'
