This Privacy Policy describes how the Houle System mobile application ("the App") handles information when you use it. The App is published in coordination with Houle Industries Inc., the manufacturer of the mechanized tarp systems the App controls.
The Houle System app is designed to operate locally on your device. We do not collect:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number, or other identifying data)
- Usage analytics or tracking data
- Location data
- Any information shared with advertising networks
- Any information sold to third parties
The App does not transmit data to any servers. It does not require an internet connection to function.
For your convenience, the App stores the following information on your device only. This information never leaves your device:
- Bluetooth device identifier of the Houle tarp control module you last connected to. This allows the App to automatically reconnect next time you open it. You can clear this data at any time by tapping the "Forget" option in the App or by uninstalling the App.
The App requests Bluetooth permission on your device. This permission is used solely to communicate with Houle Industries tarp control hardware nearby. The App does not use Bluetooth for any other purpose.
On iOS 13 and later, you will be prompted to grant Bluetooth access on first launch. You may grant or revoke this permission at any time in your device Settings. Without this permission, the App cannot control Houle tarp systems but continues to operate without collecting any alternative data.
The App is a professional tool for controlling industrial trailer equipment and is not directed at children. We do not collect any personal information from any users regardless of age.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Because the App does not connect to the internet, you will see policy changes only when you view this page online or receive an App update.
