Sprouting Stories is dedicated to enhancing literacy engagement and advancing the creative writing skills of Hough High School students. Our mission is to provide a safe, inclusive space where students can develop their passions for writing and reading. We aim to give back to the community by promoting youth participation in literacy improvement initiatives.

We’ll offer creative writing prompts, creative poetry(black out poems), monthly book slideshows, lessons on notable literary figures, college supplemental writing practice, slam poetry, ect.. We also offer volunteer opportunities aligning with literature arts: book reviews for service hours, book drives, volunteering at libraries, writing and reading tutoring, ect..
