Mock Trial is a competition in which students simulate a real trial. The trial concerns an official case that remains the same through the entire academic year. The case alternates between a civil and a criminal case every year. The case is entirely fictional, taking place in the fictional state of Utopia. Starting in September, we dissect a court case made specifically for NC high school students which are processed by teams of 6-8 students, who will later imitate real courtroom processes in a regional competition. It is a great club for students interested in law, debate, or even theater and drama!
Once a week in Mrs. Majors' room at A213! Frequency of meetings increase from December to January in preparation of competition.
