Tips to avoid Hotmail login problem

Microsoft's Hotmail email service recently received an update that improves account recovery options. That is useful for users who cannot log into Hotmail, because their username or password is not accepted or other errors or even trying to hack email account.

But account recovery is just one of the options and the last resort

Here are a few precautions you can take to avoid troublesome sign-in at Hotmail or other Windows Live services:

Configure as many password reset options as possible. This is done after logging in, by going to Options> More Options in the right corner of the Hotmail interface and selecting View and edit your personal information in the Manage your account section.

Can enter multiple alternate email addresses (one-time verification required), mobile phone number (for single sign-in and account recovery), trusted PC (for password recovery), and change sentence question and secret answer.

A password manager can help avoid problems signing in to Hotmail and other Windows Live services. It will always remember the correct password and some may even log you in automatically.

To ensure a secure password, we recommend using at least 16 characters, mixed upper and lower case characters, numbers and special characters.
