Any loss and (or) breakage to any part of the room reported during your stay will be charged to your account accordingly. Late check-out until 5 PM will be charged 50% and after 5 PM will be charged 100% from hotel’s published rate.

IN CASE OF FIRE, DO NOT USE ELEVATORS 

If you discover fire or smoke in your room:

• Call the Front Desk immediately.

• Take your room key, exit your room and close the door behind you.

• Alert others in the area.

• Activate the nearest fire alarm.

• Walk to the nearest stairway and exit the building (DO NOT USE THE ELEVATORS).

• If smoke is present, stay low.

If you are ordered to evacuate your room and the DOOR IS NOT HOT:

• EXIT WITH CAUTION. If the door is NOT HOT, open it slightly and look at the two sides directions for the nearest exit sign.

• Take your room key, exit the room and close the door behind you.

• Walk to the nearest stairway and exit the building (DO NOT USE THE ELEVATORS).

If you are ordered to evacuate your room and the DOOR IS HOT:

• DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR.

• Call the Front Desk and give them your location.

• Stuff wet towels or clothes under the door and in air vents to keep out smoke and fumes.

• Remain calm and wait for further instructions. If you cannot exit, your room is the safest place to be.

• If you think you need to open a window for air, and you are above the ground floor, avoid breaking the window because you may need to close it to keep smoke out later.

In case of EARTHQUAKE – USE THE TRIANGLE OF LIFE.

It is unlikely that you will experience an earthquake while staying with us, however in the event of an earthquake, do not hide under a desk or in a doorway.  You should hide next to a large object in what they call "the triangle of life".

If you are in bed during the night and an earthquake occurs, simply roll off the bed. A safe void will exist around the bed – you should lie down on the floor, next to the bottom or the side of the bed during an earthquake.

TUGU MONUMENT

Tugu Monument is the most popular landmark of Yogyakarta. This monument is located right in the center of the crossroad between the Mangkubumi (Margo Utomo Street), Soedirman Street, and Diponegoro Street. The Tugu Jogja is almost 3 centuries old.

It was built around one year after the construction of the Yogyakarta Kingdom. In the early time of its construction it clearly described the philosophy of the unity of God's creatures, the spirit of togetherness of lay people and authorities to fight colonials. In Javanese terms, the spirit of togetherness is called ‘golong gilig’ that is clearly described in the construction of the monument; the pole is of gilig (cylinder) form and the top part is golong (rounded). This monument was known as Tugu Golong-Gilig.

MALIOBORO

Malioboro is a major shopping street in Yogyakarta. Located in the heart of the city, it lies on an imaginary axis in line to the Kraton (the Palace of Yogyakarta) and Mount Merapi. The street is the center of Yogyakarta's largest tourist district surrounded with many hotels and restaurants nearby. You can enjoy the atmosphere of Malioboro in the afternoon or evening by using an andong or pedicab. 

On the same side of the road is Beringharjo market, Yogyakarta's crowded main market. South side of Malioboro is the Vredeburg fort, which used to be the barracks of Dutch soldiers and now it becomes a center of art and painting exhibitions.

THE KRATON (THE PALACE OF YOGYAKARTA)

The Palace of Yogyakarta, known as the Kraton, it is a grand complex that was meticulously planned to reflect the Javanese cosmos. This splendid example of traditional Javanese architecture has no equal. Designed and built in stages, the Kraton was completed in 1790. This elegant complex of pavilions was constructed entirely on ancient beliefs and each feature of the complex, from the courtyards to the tress, has a special symbolic meaning related to sophisticated Javanese world view.

Today, the palace is a piece of living history and tradition. It continues to be used, both as a home of the Sultan as well as for other important ceremonial and cultural functions of the Yogyakarta court

PARANGTRITIS BEACH

Located around 28km (17 miles) from Yogyakarta. Parangtritis Beach is very closely related to the legend of Kanjeng Ratu Kidul (Queen of South). 

When the sun is leaning to the west and the weather is sunny, it is time for having fun. Although visitors are prohibited from swimming, walking along the sand surface that is smoothly swept by the wave with two-wheeled horse-drawn carriage is no less enjoyable. The carriage will bring us to the end of the east coast of Parangtritis Beach where the cluster of rocks are so beautiful, it is often used as the spot for a pre-wedding photo shoot. The dim twilight and golden shade of the sun on the water surface raise a romantic atmosphere.

Parangtritis Beach also offers the excitement for those who travel with family. Kite-flying with your child is also enjoyable. The strong sea breeze is very helpful to make a kite fly high, even if you have never played with a kite.

PRAMBANAN TEMPLE

Prambanan temple is extraordinarily beautiful building constructed in the tenth century during the reigns of two kings Rakai Pikatan and Rakai Balitung. Soaring up to 47 meters (5 meters higher than Borobudur temple), the foundation of this temple has fulfilled the desire of the founder to show the Hindu triumph in Java Island. This temple is located 17 kilometers from the city center, among an area that now functions as a  beautiful park.

Prambanan also has panels of relief describing the story of Ramayana. Experts say that the relief is similar to the story of Ramayana that is told orally from generation to generation. You can discover the story of Ramayana through Ramayana Ballet performance held on Prambanan temple every night.

KALIURANG

A hill resort on the slopes of Mount Merapi Volcano (the nation's second most active volcano) that located around 25 kilometers north of the city center of Yogya. Kaliurang offers a perfect cool climate for your getaway. 

This area has many holiday villas and has grown into a refreshing site, popular with visitors of all ages. Here one can enjoy nature by trekking, dip into cool waterfalls, visit museums, get spiritually inspired or wander through galleries relating to the history and heritage of Java's royal houses. If you have more days to explore Kaliurang, do try the many delicious culinary specials of Kaliurang area. The most famous are Jadah Tempe, Rabbit Satay, Duck Satay and Wedang Gedang. 

TAMAN SARI WATER CASTLE

Taman Sari is also known as Taman Sari Water Castle, a site of a former royal garden of the Sultan of  Yogyakarta. It is located about 2 km south within the grounds of the Kraton. Built in the middle of 18th  century, Taman Sari had multiple functions, such as a resting area, a workshop, a meditation area, a defense area and a hiding place for Sultan's family.

Taman Sari consisted of four distinct areas; a large artificial lake with islands and pavilions located in the west, a bathing complex in the center, a complex of pavilions and pools in the south, and a smaller lake in the east. Today only the central bathing complex is well preserved, while the other areas have been largely occupied by the people. Since 1995 the Yogyakarta Palace Complex including Taman Sari is listed as a tentative World Heritage Site.

BOROBUDUR TEMPLE

This famous Buddhist temple, dating from the 8th and 9th centuries, is located in central Java. It was built in three tiers: a pyramidal base with five concentric square terraces, the trunk of a cone with three circular platforms and, at the top, a monumental stupa. The walls and balustrades are decorated with fine low reliefs, covering a total surface area of 2,500 sqm. Around the circular platforms are 72 openwork stupas, each containing a statue of the Buddha. The monument was restored with UNESCO's help in the 1970s.
