We are thrilled to announce the successful graduation ceremonies held from November 19 - 21, 2024, at Idaho State University, Boise State University, and the Idaho National Laboratory, Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES).
We are incredibly proud to have supported such a diverse and talented cohort of individuals, including faculty, researchers, students, and staff, and we look forward to seeing how they apply their newfound expertise to drive innovation in their respective fields.

We are excited to announce that the NSF I-CREWS Hands-On Training in Applied AI and Machine Learning (HoT-AiML) program, funded by NSF I-CREWS, has successfully concluded after two months of intensive training! This initiative is the first of its kind in the state of Idaho and has engaged over 220 participants from institutions across the region, including faculty, researchers, students, and staff.
Highlights of the program
HoT-AML program is in its fourth week. After a comprehensive discussion on AI/ML concepts and sound methodologies to develop robust ML models, we have trained and evaluated the first ML model applied to water quality prediction. We will continue with more complex and advanced models and applications to different real-world problems.
After the successful completion of the first phase with over 100 enthusiastic participants (in-person and online) in each session, the second phase of HoT-AML has officially launched. In this phase, participants will engage in hands-on training, tackle real-world challenges, and develop both supervised and unsupervised machine learning models. The program will culminate with a capstone project and certification.
We are excited to share that our Hands-On Training in Applied AI and Machine Learning (HoT-AML) has been featured in the Idaho State Journal!
