A quick-reference guide to applying a Hostinger coupon, reading your real checkout total, planning for renewal, and fixing a code that won't apply.
Where: Hostinger cart → Order summary → "Have a coupon code?" → Apply
Last tested: 15 October 2026, in the US-dollar and India storefronts
What it did: cut 20% off the first billing term of new plans on 12-, 24- and 48-month billing. It was not accepted on a 1-month plan.
Before you pay: check the final total and the renewal line. Eligibility can change with the plan, billing period, region and whatever promotion Hostinger is running.
Disclosure: the Hostinger buttons on this page are referral links and HARSHILBAROT is my referral code, so I may earn a commission if you buy. It costs you nothing extra.
1. Copy
HARSHILBAROT: twelve letters, no spaces.
2. Apply
In the cart, click "Have a coupon code?", paste the code, press Apply.
3. Verify
Look for "Coupon savings applied", then read the renewal price before paying.
Open Hostinger.
Choose the hosting plan you actually need.
Pick the billing term (12 months or longer).
Click Choose plan to reach the cart.
Open the Have a coupon code? link inside Order summary.
Paste HARSHILBAROT into the box.
Hit Apply.
Put the new total next to the old one.
Read what the plan renews at (printed just under its name).
Buy only if the full cost makes sense.
Real Hostinger checkout (US-dollar store, Premium, 48 months), 15 Oct 2026: code entered, not yet applied.
Same cart after Apply: the plan price fell from $143.52 to $114.82, a $28.70 saving. The tax line shown reflects the tester's location.
You type HARSHILBAROT into the cart.
Use it when you reach Hostinger on your own.
The cart shows "Coupon savings applied".
The link carries the code for you.
Hostinger shows a "You've got 20% off" page.
The cart shows "20% referral discount applied", and the coupon field is no longer shown.
Same result, not double. In my test both routes reached the identical total. Only one discount applies per order, so using the link and typing the code don't add up.
Advertised price → billing term → coupon → add-ons → tax → final checkout → renewal
A discount percentage on its own tells you very little:
Measured from what? Banner percentages compare against a crossed-out list price. The coupon is 20% off the sale price, so the two never simply add together.
Paid upfront: a low "/month" figure on a long term is usually charged in one payment.
Extras and tax: ticked extras and local VAT/GST both move the final figure.
Your storefront: prices and offers differ by country.
The one number that counts is the total on the last screen before payment.
The coupon lowers your first term only. After that, the plan renews at Hostinger's regular price, shown in the cart under the plan name.
You'll also pay later for:
Hosting renewal: the regular rate, for the renewal term shown in the cart
Domain: free for the first year on eligible plans, then billed normally
Email: free mailboxes on eligible plans are also first-year only
Add-ons: each renews on its own terms
With the code: $114.82 upfront ($2.39/mo), Premium, 48 months
Renews at: $10.99/mo for 12 months
5-year total: about $246.70
Figures from Hostinger's cart on 15 Oct 2026. Renewal rates can change.
Web hosting: accepted on Premium and Unlimited in my tests.
WordPress hosting: WordPress runs on those same web hosting plans, so it applies there too.
VPS: a 24-month KVM 1 cart accepted it.
Cloud hosting: Cloud Startup carried a "partner 20% off" badge on the referral plan page. It's likely covered, but I didn't test it at checkout.
Eligibility can change with the product, billing period, region and promotion, so always confirm in your own cart.
The India storefront shows rupee prices before GST; tax is a separate line in the cart.
Test result: ₹8,439.36 → ₹6,751.49 (Premium, 48 months, GST included).
Check the payment methods offered and any India-only promotion.
It's not India-only: the US-dollar store accepted it as well.
Per Hostinger, it's a first-term discount on new plans.
Renewals and products you already own aren't covered.
Logged-in, account-specific or upgrade offers can differ.
It wasn't tested on an existing account. Add the plan to your cart and check for a savings line.
Spelling: it must be exactly HARSHILBAROT.
Plan: try it on the hosting plan itself; some products may be excluded.
Billing length: the code was rejected on a 1-month term. Switch to 12 months or longer.
Discount already there? A referral discount in the cart removes the coupon field.
Purchase type: a new plan, a renewal and an upgrade each follow different rules.
Region: each storefront can run different offers.
Checkout: the saving may already be in the total. Compare before and after.
No stacking: a sale badge and the coupon aren't added together.
A cheap first term is only good value if the plan fits. Before buying, weigh:
performance for your expected traffic
support you can rely on
storage and resource limits
backup frequency (weekly on entry plans, daily on higher ones)
migration of an existing site
email needs
the control panel (hPanel)
scalability to a bigger plan later
data-centre location relative to your visitors
your renewal budget
The cheapest option is not automatically the best one.
What will I pay today?
What will I pay when it renews?

Are the features I rely on included?
Would I still choose this hosting without the coupon?
I've used Hostinger for roughly seven years, and my current editorial rating is 4.8/5. That's a personal judgement built over years of use, not a lab score.
Every price on this page was read from Hostinger's live cart on 15 October 2026. For the full story, plan advice and more FAQs, see my complete Hostinger coupon guide.
What is the Hostinger coupon code for 2026?
HARSHILBAROT, with eligibility confirmed at checkout. In my 15 Oct 2026 test it took 20% off the first term on plans of a year or longer.
How do I apply it?
Paste it into the coupon field that opens from "Have a coupon code?" in the cart, then press Apply.
Does it work in India?
Yes. The rupee storefront accepted it, and GST shows up as its own line.
Can existing customers use it?
The discount targets a new plan's first term. I haven't tried it from an existing account.
Does it work for WordPress hosting?
Yes. The web hosting plans it worked on are the ones WordPress sites run on.
Does it work for VPS?
Yes. KVM 1 on a two-year term accepted it.
Can I combine coupons?
No. Hostinger applies one discount per order.
Why is my coupon not working?
Most often it's a 1-month term or a discount that's already applied. See the checklist above.
Does it affect renewal pricing?
No. Renewal is billed at Hostinger's standard rate.
Is a referral link the same as a coupon?
No. They're two routes to the same first-term discount, and only one applies.
How do I check the real discount?
Note the total, apply the code, then note it again, keeping the same plan, term and storefront.
Is Hostinger worth buying only because of a discount?
No. Buy it if the plan fits your needs and the renewal fits your budget; the coupon is a bonus.
