All sales at the Hospitality Shop go towards providing scholarships for aspiring healthcare workers. The Reynold Marvin Kirby Smith Scholarship Fund was established in 1969 with a $2000 donation from the Bank of Sewanee. This fund goes towards 1-3 scholarships each year for graduating seniors from Franklin and Grundy County high schools for students interested in healthcare careers. The Mary Phillips Kirby Smith Scholarship aims to help cover the cost of textbooks, school supplies, or other unforeseen expenses not paid for by other scholarships or loans. Assuming the recipient remains interested in medicine, they will recive $1000 each year.
