History

Hosanna Pentecostal Church was established in 1992 after the then evangelist Pr. G. Mathias was called by God to open up his home for a gathering of like minded Christians in the Arasakulam area. Prior to 1992, Arasakulam had had various pastors and evangelists who tried to establish a gathering place for the Christians who were in the area but for various reasons could not continue for more than a few months.

The church went through a series of tribulations in the mid 1990s with extremists of another faith trying to disrupt the functioning of the church and hurling physical and verbal attacks on the church. There were false accusations and false charges pressed on Pr. G. Mathias to get him close down the church. God has been the fort and comfort who has sustained the church through those hardships and helped the church members and the pastor withstand His plans for the church.

We are now a tight knit congregation of Bible Believers who strive to please and praise the perfect God in the midst of all our human imperfections.
