A population of ocelots was seeded in the tropical rainforest of Terra Magnus Pinuis, in the south of the continent. Here in these rainforests, the population exploded. There was an abundance of food and no competition or predators. From here, they spread to the adjacent savanna. Here, they had to relinquish their role as top predator to the cheetah. From the savannas, they moved further east, to the "Natte Kant" forests, a chain of wooded areas between mountains and the ocean, with a transition from a tropical to a temperate climate.
(Rainforest cat)
This cat can be found in the rainforests in the south of the continent. Due to limited competition with other species and the absence of predators, the size of this species has increased. They reach a shoulder height of approximately 65 cm. Their coat pattern is very similar to that of the ocelot.
The diversity of prey is very large. They hunt: reptiles, amphibians, marsupials, fruit bats, cassowary chicks, pangolins, crustaceans, fish ... basically anything they can catch.
(Savannah cat)
This species can be found on the savannas and grasslands of southern Terra Magnus Pinuis. In other words, in open landscapes, but that does not detract from the fact that it is still a fantastic climber. It weighs about as much as a common ocelot, around 16 kg, but is 50 cm tall thanks to its long legs. The coat color of this cat is lighter with stronger counter-shading; the ears are also larger and the tail is shorter.
The Savanne kat feeds primarily on lizards, snakes, and other reptiles, but rock hyraxes, fruit bats, small marsupials, ostrich chicks, and young gazelles are also on the menu.
