The weather is starting to warm up and people will be using their trailers. I wanted to tell everybody something I do every time I use my trailer. Your rim and tires are the heart of your trailers.
Check your tire pressure, with a load rating E at 80 lbs, and load rating F at 100 Lbs it's important for the tire sidewalls that they are inflated properly.
Also whenever I reach my destination, or on longer rides every fuel fill up, I check the temperature of my rims with my hands. This is an early sign of problems for your bearings and brakes. With one rim at a different temperature than the others means something is wrong and needs your attention.
If one is warmer than the others it could be bearings or a brake shoe came off and is jammed in to something.
If you have 3 warm rims and one cold it could mean your brake isn't working. So please do a little preventable maintenance and avoid a break down on the highway
