Tired of needing to pull up various tables and want a list of all the keyboard shortcuts in game? We've got you covered, as long as you haven't remapped your keys. These instructions are for a standard English keyboard.

WASD and arrow keys: Steer your horse

B: Pulls out bucket to water horses

C: Crouches your avatar

E: Collects the item you're looking at or any near you

F: Mounts your horse

G: Equips brush to groom your horse

H: Opens your horse list (SHIFT + H opens your customized Horse Rank Titles)

I: Opens inventory menu

J: Equips sailboat

K: Equips kayak

L: Equips lasso

M: Opens player map

N: Equips camera

O: Equips hot air balloon

P: Equips petting hand

T: Equips torch

U: Equips lead rope to lead horse

V: Opens spyglass

X: Deactivates last opened equipment (horse dismount is always last)

Y: Equips lantern

Z: Holding pulls up your Avatar Emote menu (SHIFT + Z pulls up Horse Tricks menu)

1: Opens art kit

2: Equips magic string

4: Opens Store Board Search Menu

5: Mounts seahorse

6: Equips grappling bow

7: Open Auction Horse Menu

0: Equips diving bell

-: When you have a small enough horse placed (14.2hh or less), pulls out your pony cart. If you have the Horse Cart unlocked and a larger horse out, it will bring out your horse cart.

F5: Brings up time and distance tracker (only works if mounted)

F7: Automatically dismounts

F9: Hides other players

CTRL: Cues horse jumping while leading

%help or just % in the chat bar pulls up all chat commands.

Remapping Keys:

When you start the game, you'll be offered the opportunity to remap the keys. Note that this will only affect the game, and not any other programs/apps you happen to have. We have tried our best to ensure that the key mapping makes the most sense (IE K for kayak, P for petting) but you're more than welcome to remap the keys as you see fit. :)

If you have remapped your keys and require help, please specify that you have when asking for help as this can result in a lot of confusion!

Remapping Keys on a Mac

Open "System Preferences"

Click on the "Keyboard" tab.

Select "Shortcuts."

Select "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys."

This will make all of our standard key commands (opening menus or last horse caught) work for your computer instead of turning the brightness on your monitor up or opening different internet tools.

Volumes:

Music volume: Controls in-game music (soundtrack varies by biome)

World SFX volume: Controls general world noises (essence, course noises, etc)

Interface SFX volume: Controls interface noises (chat noises, button noises, etc)

Horse SFX volume: Controls horse noises (breathing, chewing, etc)

Hooves SFX volume: Controls horse hoof noises

Instruments SFX volume: Controls instrument volume

Ambience SFX volume: Controls biome noises (sparkles, birds, etc)

Lag Preventatives:

Graphics: Lowest (no minimap) to awesome (harder on most computers)

Hide GUI: Hides cross hairs, horse names, player names, map, hints, and/or all GUI

Disable Pretty Lights: Hides lamps/torches/etc. (very helpful for lag in ranches and clubs)

Limit FPS: Limits to 15, 20, 30, or 60 FPS to save battery

Ram Reduction: Periodically reduces memory usage (sometimes adds pauses)

No Particles: Disables all sparkles, weather, fireworks, and prints

Individual Preferences:

Chat Font Size: Changes font sizes (small, medium, and large options)

Compass Locked North: Rather than minimap rotating to heading

Mute SFX: Mutes Other Hooves, Your Hooves, and/or PM chimes

Classic 3rd Person Camera: Prevents camera from rotating with the player

Mouse Sensitivity: Raises and lowers mouse sensitivity

I am a lefty!: Shows left hand used rather than right when possible

Anti Motion Sickness: Reduces movements

Quick Travel Camera Transition: Changes the transition picture (options are Blocks Randomly Fade, Posterize, Pixellate, Dissolve, Simple Circle, Random Fancy One, Random Simple Shape, Solid Black (plain), and Frame Lock (plain))

Lock Chat Open: Locks chat open rather than auto-showing new chats

No Chat Preview: Does not show new chats if the chat window is not currently visible

Beginner Mode: Shows helpful tools and tips

No Auto Emote: Does not allow emotes to be triggered with keywords in chat

Here are some handy key tricks you may not have known about:

• Holding "F" while looking at a horses profile will zoom into the horse's face.

• Clicking on your minimap will change the zoom level.

• Control+"E" will screenshot a horse profile while you are viewing it.

• Control+"H" will pull up your horse rank list.
