Player Etiquette
Unwritten Rules of Etiquette among Horse Isle Players:
Do not run competitions over other clubs. Two clubs may run at the same time if one if running long competitions (5+ minutes) and the other club is running short comps (under 5 minutes).
If you want to run but another club is already running, schedule your competitions after the other club has had at least one hour to run. Similarly, if another club starts comps after yours, do not continue to schedule competitions.
If another player is actively attempting to catch a wild, do not intercept and catch the wild before them.
Do not cut trees while running courses. Cut trees will land on other players and slow them down.
When at a Mane Event, do not crowd the start gate, obstacles in the course, or the finish. This impedes the sight of other players trying the course.
Do not spam other players with unsolicited trade requests.
Do not request to purchase a horse that is not marked for sale in profile or continuously hound a player after they decline a purchase offer.
Do not physically push other players around unnecessarily.
Do not build clubs within 20 km of another club (preferably you would build a club much further away from the closest club).
Do not build a ranch within 3 km to another player's ranch without permission. Exceptions can be made for bodies of water, areas close to your club, etc. but further is better.
Never use a mane event location or a newly placed club to find a new ranch or club location.
Do not steal profile art from other player's, horse's, or club's profiles.
Never remove player credits at the end of a purchased profile.
Do not steal sticker or quilt art ideas from other players.
Do not excessively use (3+) lamps in clubs or on ranches. This lags players with weaker computers.
