Water TESTING
dRY TESTING
This method is used with the mechanism inside the case. No water is used, and this test can detect leakage up to 300 feet deep.
Witchi PROOFMASTER M - VACUUM TEST
The machine first applies a vacuum test, which measures the deformation of the case under vacuum conditions. Gaskets under compression show higher resistance to water pressure, so the opposite is measured.
Witchi PROOFMASTER M - PRESSURE TEST
The full selected pressure per model readings is applied to the watch case. Deformation and leakage are measured. If either test fails, the watch movement is removed from the case. The case itself will be subjected to additional testing in pressure chambers.
WATER PRESSURE CHAMBER
If a dry test fails, we submerge the watch case in a pressure chamber filled with water to the pressure specified by the brand. After waiting five minutes, the case is submerged and the pressure is released. Bubbles that stream out of the case indicate the source of the leak.
HEATING PLATE
The heating plate test is an additional test applied to watches that pass the pressure chamber test. The case is removed from the pressure chamber and placed on a ROXER heat plate. A drop of cold water is placed on the crystal. If condensation is present, all the tests must be repeated.
