HormoneSync Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how HormoneSync ("the App", "we", "us") handles your information. HormoneSync is developed and operated by an independent individual developer ("the Developer"). Contact: hormonesync@gmail.com.
Health data you enter directly:
Symptom logs (hot flashes, night sweats, mood, sleep quality, brain fog severity)
Period/cycle and spotting entries
Medication and HRT dose entries (name, dose, type, date)
Free-text notes you add to a daily log
Data collected automatically (if you enable sync features):
Apple Health data (sleep, cycle, heart rate) — only if you turn on Apple Health sync in Settings
Google Health Connect data — only if you turn on Health Connect sync in Settings
We do not collect: your name, contact list, precise location, or advertising identifiers.
2. Where Your Data Is Stored
By default, all health data you log stays on your device only, in local app storage. It is not sent to our servers, because HormoneSync does not currently operate a backend server.
If a future version adds cloud backup or account sync, this policy will be updated before that feature is enabled, and you will be asked to consent separately.
To display your own symptom trends and insights back to you, on your device
To generate the PDF health report you request, which is created on your device and only shared if you choose to share/export it (e.g., via AirDrop, email, or Files)
We do not use your health data for advertising, and we do not sell your data.
We do not share your health data with third parties, except:
When you choose to export or share a PDF report — at that point, the destination (e.g., a messaging app, your doctor's email, cloud storage) is controlled by you and outside our control
Apple/Google Health platforms — only if you explicitly enable sync, subject to Apple's and Google's own health data rules
Payment processing — if you subscribe to HormoneSync+, payment is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Billing); we do not receive or store your payment card details
We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs that access your health entries. [UPDATE THIS if you later add RevenueCat, crash reporting, or analytics — those must be disclosed here and in each store's Privacy/Data Safety form.]
You can, at any time, directly in the app:
View, edit, or delete any symptom, medication, or cycle entry
Delete all app data by uninstalling the app (local storage is removed with the app)
Depending on your location (EU/UK/California/Washington State and others), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Contact us at hormonesync@gmail.com to exercise these rights.
HormoneSync is not directed at children and is not intended for users under 16.
7. Changes to This Policy
We will update this page if our data practices change and, for material changes, will notify users in-app before the change takes effect.
