Is an in depth book for commercial students and contain real world stories, senary questions and lots of great information and is a good read.
The Aeronautical information Manuel has very useful information regarding air law and other aviation regulations that are necessary to flight safety and is very useful to be familiar with for pass test
Contains some very interest information regarding human factor in aviation although don't think necessary for passing test it will build you knowledge of human factors. Also I find it a fairly engaging book with illustrations and some really fun optical illusions.
Well worth reading through before a flight test, It outline specifically in great detail what is expected of you (the student) and the examiner
I have not personally used The Wise Pilot CPL ground School I have used their other ground school and question banks and found them indispensable
The CARs are the Canadian Aviation Regulations and are useful to have access to for referencing (can't say it is that good of a read though, very wordy and written in a legal document style)
Used this wise pilot resources for my CPL written and I would say it is one of the best resources out there for a really good cost. Highly highly recommend it if you are planning on writing your CLP soon. Some of there practice test contain the same questions as their real test word for word.
Similar to the flight test notes Flight Test Checklist is more brief and better for when the flight test is approaching to look though to make sure you have all the required material for the flight test.
Good Set of flash card that I found on Quizlet to study for the oral portion of my CPL flight test.
Here is a download Link for the CFS It is a large file in pdf format. If you don't want to download it you can check out FLT Plan go and they have it on their App under Airports.

Apple iPad, highly suggest getting one once you are done your PPL and start time building. Make sure you get one with cellular GPS capability (not all of them have it,. I found out the hard way...while in the air)
