Horizon Privacy Policy

Horizon helps you forecast your finances and plan your goals. This policy explains how the app handles your information.
Information you enter
Horizon uses the income, expenses, balances, loans, scheduled payments, goals, and monthly check-ins you enter to calculate forecasts on your device.
No account or bank connection is required. Horizon does not automatically send your financial information to the developer or to a server.
Storage and security
Your financial plan, unfinished setup, and app preferences are stored locally on your device. Horizon may keep local recovery copies when updating older plan formats. Saved financial files use iOS and iPadOS file protection.
Optional App Lock uses Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode through Apple’s authentication system. Horizon does not access or store your biometric data or passcode.
Advertising and tracking
Horizon contains no advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics tools. We do not sell or rent your financial information.
Exports and external services
You can export your saved plan and check-in history as JSON, or forecast data as CSV. Files are saved or shared only with the destination you choose.
Exported files are readable and are not password-protected by Horizon. Any service you choose to store or share them has its own privacy practices.
External websites, including the service hosting this policy, operate under their own privacy policies.
Retention and deletion
Your financial information remains on your device until you delete it. In the app, go to Settings → Clear all data to remove your saved plan, goals, check-in history, unfinished setup, and local recovery copies. Your theme preference is kept.
Deleting the app also removes its local data. Offloading the app may retain that data.
Your device’s backup settings may include Horizon data. Clearing data in Horizon does not delete previously exported files or device backups; those copies must be managed separately.
Contacting us
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address and message. We use it to respond to your request and retain it only as needed to handle that request or meet applicable legal obligations. You can request deletion by contacting us.
Please avoid sending financial files or other sensitive information unless needed for your request.
Policy updates
We may update this policy when the app’s features or data practices change. The latest version will appear on this page with an updated date.
