Slow down your doomscrolling befoire you get sucked in.
Trapped in the infinite scroll? Horizon is not just another site blocker, it's a digital black hole for your doomscrolling habits.
Instead of a harsh wall, Horizon introduces a subtle, increasing "gravity" to your scroll on the websites you choose. The more you scroll down an endless feed, the physically harder it becomes, gently pulling you out of the digital trance and back into the present moment. This unique, physics-based approach helps you build mindful browsing habits without the frustration of an abrupt block.
Escape the event horizon of endless content. With Horizon, you don't just block a site; you change your relationship with it.
Key Features:
Dynamic Gravity Well: Experience a real-time increase in scroll resistance, making you aware of the time and energy you're investing in a feed.
Customizable Physics: Fine-tune the "Time Dilation," "Event Horizon Limit," and "Hawking Radiation" to create a personalized resistance that works for you.
Target Acquisition System: You are in complete control. Easily add any distracting website to the physics engine, from social media to news aggregators.
Time Dilation Log: The "Target Sites" tab shows you exactly how much time has been "dilated" (spent) on each site, providing valuable insight into your habits.
Total Control: A master switch allows you to enable or disable the entire system with a single click. You are always in command.
Reclaim your time from the void. Install Horizon and take back control of your scroll.

The Problem: The Dopamine Loop of the Infinite Scroll
Modern social media and news feeds are engineered to be bottomless. This design exploits a psychological principle known as a "variable reward schedule," the same mechanism that makes slot machines so addictive. With every flick of the scroll wheel, you might see a fascinating post, a funny video, or something mundane. This unpredictability keeps our brains hooked, releasing dopamine and urging us to keep scrolling in search of the next "reward." This creates a trance-like state often called "doomscrolling," where we lose track of time and intent.
The Flaw in Traditional Solutions
Standard site blockers are a binary tool: they are either ON or OFF. While effective, this abruptness often leads to frustration. Users may need to access a site for a legitimate reason, disable the blocker, and then forget to re-enable it, defeating the purpose. This all-or-nothing approach doesn't teach mindful usage; it simply erects a temporary wall.
The Horizon Solution: Interoceptive Awareness
Horizon is built on a different philosophy: making the unconscious conscious through physical feedback.
The act of scrolling is typically effortless and mindless. Horizon changes this by introducing a tangible, physical cost. As the "gravity" increases, your fingers have to work slightly harder. This physical sensation sends a new signal to your brain, breaking the cognitive loop. It forces you to ask: "Is the content I'm consuming worth this effort?"
This is a form of interoceptive awareness—the sense of your body's internal state. By linking the digital habit of scrolling to a real physical feeling of resistance, Horizon bridges the gap between your mind and your actions. It doesn't just stop you; it trains you to recognize when you've had enough, turning a passive habit into a conscious choice.
Welcome, Operator. Here is the protocol for engaging the Horizon system.
Step 1: The Core Concept
Horizon turns your scrollbar into a gravity well on specific websites. The more you scroll down, the stronger the pull, until you reach the "Event Horizon" where scrolling becomes nearly impossible.
Step 2: Designate Your Targets
The system is dormant until you tell it which websites to monitor.
Navigate to the "Target Sites" tab in the Horizon popup.
If your doomscrolling site is already on the default list, you're all set!
To add a new site, there are two methods:
The Easy Way: Open the distracting website in your browser. Click the Horizon icon, go to the "Target Sites" tab, and click the "+ Add Current Tab" button. The system will automatically acquire the domain.
The Manual Way: Type the core domain (e.g., news.com) into the input box and click the + button.
Step 3: Calibrate the Physics (Optional)
Navigate to the "Physics" tab to fine-tune the engine:
Time Dilation: Controls how fast the gravity increases as you scroll. A higher value means you'll feel the resistance much sooner.
Event Horizon Limit: The absolute maximum scroll resistance. At 99.9%, the page will eventually come to a near-complete stop.
Hawking Radiation: The recovery rate. This determines how quickly gravity fades when you scroll up, allowing you to "escape" the well.
Step 4: Stay in Command
You are always in control.
The master toggle switch in the top right of the popup enables or disables the entire system globally.
Any site can be removed from the "Target Sites" list at any time by clicking the × icon next to it.
The changes you make are applied instantly across your open tabs. There is no need to reload the page.
