Street Help, You Shouldn't Miss!

A cross intersection. Two children-one is at best 6, another is no more than 3 years old, were standing. The bigger child griped (hold tightly) the younger child. They were trying to cross the road two steps front, one step back. Looking at his right, the elder child stepped up two but stepped back one while he saw his left coming a private car. In that dilemma, he asked one to help them but the one didn’t notice. I was hurrying for many reasons and crossed half of the road. But without any direction or anyone’s call, I backed to them. I took the younger in my arms, and the other grasped my left hand. This was a busier road, so somehow, I managed to cross the road. Then, they followed their path, and so did I.
