Horicon Comprehensive Plan Update
The Town of Horicon is updating its 2010 Comprehensive Plan!
In 2023 the Town received a grant from the New York Department of State to update its Comprehensive Plan, the Town has partnered with the Lake Champlain-Lake George Regional Planning Board to prepare this updated plan. This planning process is expected to be completed in the Spring of 2026.
The Plan will define the community's vision for the future, establish goals, and provide a framework for future decision-making.

About
A comprehensive plan is a long-term, strategic document that outlines a community's vision for its future growth and development. It serves as a guiding framework for decision-making and policy development across various aspects of the community, such as land use, transportation, housing, economic growth, and environmental protection.
Robust outreach and engagement with community members, stakeholders, and experts will ensure that Horicon's Comprehensive Plan reflects the community's needs and desires while addressing future challenges and opportunities.
The Horicon Comprehensive Plan is being led by a Project Advisory Committee including community members and elected officials.
How to get involved:
Public engagement plays a vital role in this planning process. Residents, visitors, and business owners will have multiple opportunities to learn about the plan and share their input through surveys and public workshops.
