Use of Location Data (GPS)
The Hora Solis application requires access to the device's geographical location (GPS) exclusively for technical and scientific purposes. These coordinates are necessary to determine the observer's exact position and allow astronomical algorithms (based on the VSOP87 theory) to correctly calculate the solar hour angle, the Equation of Time, and the local true solar time.
Location data is processed exclusively in real-time and locally on the user's device. Hora Solis does not store, transmit, or share geographical coordinates or other personal data with external servers or third parties. Once the calculation is completed, the data is not retained.
Use of Internet Connection
The application requires access to the Internet exclusively to download and update astronomical parameter values necessary for the correct performance of the calculations. However, the application can also function in offline mode using default astronomical parameter values stored locally.
Data is downloaded in CSV format from a public GitHub repository managed by the developer. No personal user data is sent during this operation, nor are browsing habits tracked.
