I'm a board-certified and state-licensed music therapist who is passionate about providing services locally and increasing access. I received my bachelors degree in music therapy in 2015 studying piano, guitar, ukulele, and voice at the collegiate level. After this I worked clinically as a music therapist in the educational setting supporting children and young adults with high support needs. I also spent time in private practice where I worked with children as young as six weeks and adults up to age 83. We focused on everything from developmental growth, to mental health support, and memory support.
After this intensive work period I expanded my lense. While focusing on having very young children at home I chose to start a family child care out of my home. Soon thereafter I began employment as an inclusion specialist working for the State of Illnois. This work was incredibly rewarding and showed me a great deal about what it looks like to support children in education and what rights children with disabilities have in the education system in the state of Illinois.
All of that experience and growth led me to finishing my masters degree in Child and Adolescent Development in Psychology in 2025 and beginning my work as an Infant/Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant.
I am a multiply disabled adult who has worked to navigate complex federal and state systems like early intervention and special education from a parent, individual, and professional level. My work is always child first, developmentally appropriate, neurodiversity affirming, and relationship based. Whether we are learning music, growing personally, needing support, or wanting compassion, we all deserve to be met with empathy and connectivity. When that happens the rest comes naturally.
