Not a Bad Investment

According to Wikipedia, investment is traditionally defined as the "commitment of resources to achieve later benefits". If an investment involves money, then it can be defined as a "commitment of money to receive more money later". In finance, the purpose of investing is to generate a return from the invested asset.

An investment can be defined as the act of devoting resources, such as cash, time, or energy, to a project with the goal of obtaining a profit. A good investment is one in which the return on investment is in line with or fulfills the purpose for which the investment was made, whereas a bad investment is one in which the return on investment falls short of the justification or goal for the investment.

In the beginning, God invested in the earth by creating man (us) in His image and likeness in order for us to have dominion over everything He created and, more importantly, to have His likeness, nature, and representation in order for us to further His kingdom on earth.

Genesis 1:26 – Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over ………..” NKJV

Genesis 1:27 – So God created man in His own image; in the image of God, He created him; male and female He created them. NKJV

Genesis 1:28 – Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion ………….” NKJV

We were meant to be His earthly kingdom's extension, but when man decided to follow the devil, he lost that responsibility. God, in His infinite wisdom, decided to reinvest in Jesus for our benefit so that the earlier investment would no longer bear fruitlessly or with little fruit because the return on investment for the creation of man on Earth had fallen short of expectations. 

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. NKJV

You see, God loved us so much that He re-invested Himself in the personality of Jesus so that we might be saved from having a fruitless personality and become fruitful with a good return on investment. We play a significant role in God's investment in the earth, so it is always upsetting to witness Him relinquish any man to the devil (who can do nothing good with any man but instead steal from him, kill him, and destroy him). Destruction means a bad return on investment for God. God never meant for any man to perish, but rather for all men to live good, righteous, and holy lives that never come to an end, just like His. 

John 3:17 – For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. NKJV

Many of us were not even born on the day sin entered the human race through disobedience, but we all shared in the death, condemnation, and destruction that had come into the human race through birth. The only way to be saved from such condemnation, oh! Muslim, Atheist, Church goer, Herbalist, Humanizer, Free thinker, Astrologer, Buddhist, Necromancers, Father, Mother, Uncle, Son, Daughter, Business Expert, Wizard, Witch, Science Expert, Professor etc, is the Son of God (Jesus Christ). And He was not sent to condemn you but to save you. So, it doesn’t matter who you are? or what you've previously done? or what you’ve gotten yourself involved with? If you still wanted to be saved, you could. God has provided for you in the person of His only begotten Son, Jesus, for that reason. 

John 3:18 – He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. NKJV

The only way destruction will not be your end at the end of life here on earth is for you to embrace the provision of God by believing in Christ Jesus with your heart and confessing Him with your mouth that He is the only way for you to be saved from the life and the world of sin. No man can save himself by himself. I hope the return on investment of your life for God is going to be pleasing to Him.

John 3:19 – And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. NKJV

It will be a disaster if, at the end of your stay on earth, you find out that condemnation or destruction awaits you, while you have the opportunity now through Christ Jesus to re-write your future now. God loves you so much, that he wants you to embrace light and forsake darkness. He loved you so much that he would rather you not tarry in evil deeds, making God’s righteousness available for you, which is in Christ Jesus, the only accredited Saviour of man in this evil world. The only way to continue to be a bad investment in life is to reject the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Come to Jesus today, He loves you and want to reconcile you back to your Father, God the maker of Heaven and the earth, the author of life and light.  

The money, friends, cars, houses, or anything else that you might have on earth today can’t save you; only Jesus Christ can. If you are ready to make that decision today, it doesn’t cost much to surrender your life to Jesus, rather your mouth and your heart. It will be a great tragedy if your soul in the end does not return to God with good fruits to show for your life lived on earth— a proof of a bad return on investment for God, yet Jesus was given to save us from such. Any soul that rejects Christ has already been condemned, and as such, it is headed for destruction. I didn’t write that, but the word of God shared above established it, and that’s the truth. Don’t choose to be a bad investment, accept Christ Jesus into your life today, and it shall be well with you.

Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I know that I’m a sinner and cannot save myself. I believe Jesus was given by God that I might be saved, He died for me, He shed His blood that I might be saved, today I accept Jesus as my personal Lord and Saviour, forgive me all my sins, wash me with your blood and make me whole. I refuse to be a bad investment unto you God, I forsake the devil, the world and all evil deeds, I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that Jesus is my Lord. Father, I thank you because you have saved me in Jesus name. Amen.
