Chili Contest
Contestants must register by September 8 at the "Registration Link" below
Entries must be cooked prior to the event and brought to the Community Center "Ready to Eat"
Entries must be a minimum of 64 oz. and they must be brought to the Community Center by 4:30.
The Entry must be identified as meat with beans or meat without beans or vegetarian, and one of three levels of spice: mild, medium and hot.
Contestants are responsible for maintaining their chili's proper temperature, bringing in their chili in a slow cooker
Entrants are encouraged to bring their own condiments
Each Registrant will be given a number and cups for the judges
Judging will begin promptly at 5pm.
Ballroom Dancing!!!
Professional Ballroom Dancer and Hope Resident Kamil Rogoski from Classic Ballroom Dancing in Hackettstown will be conducting a group class from 6-7pm and a Practice Party from 7-8pm
August 8's Fun Friday will be serving up a trifecta of free activities in the Hope Community Center on 5 Walnut Street, doors open at 4pm.
1. A Plant Propagation Workshop at 5pm
2. "Warren County, How It All Began"—a presentation by Gina Rosseland which will reveal all the cool things about Warren County, starting at 6pm
3. an indoor picnic for which you are welcome to bring a dish if you wish.
At the same time there will be an Artist Reception and Exhibition featuring the works of Shelley Bartlett and Rae Tamashausky, a block away in the old Moravian Distillery on 6 Millbrook Road.
