Hopebridge LLC: Origins
The founder of Hopebridge, Kim Strunk, who at the time was already working with children all throughout her neighborhood, developed the idea for the program in the first place. As an occupational therapist, Strunk noticed that many of the children in her care displayed characteristics that are commonly associated with autism. She also noticed that the parents of many of these children were constantly on the go in order to make sure that their children received the appropriate treatment. Strunk quickly came to the conclusion that there must be a more effective approach to link the aforementioned children and families with the care that they required and deserved.
Soon after, Strunk introduced his evidence-based, multi-disciplinary approach, which was founded on the scientific field of applied behavior analysis (ABA). The standard approach to autism therapy that was in existence during the time that Strunk's curriculum was being developed did not mesh well with it. In addition, insurance companies did not acknowledge or cover the cost of ABA services, which made them inaccessible to a large number of people. But thanks to the perseverance and determination of Strunk, new treatment options and opportunities are now available to Hopebridge patients across the community. This was made possible with the assistance of her team.
After more than 15 years, underprivileged communities in many states and across the region now have access to high-quality, specialized ABA services and treatment. What started out as a vision and a single facility in Indiana today provides patients from 12 different states with autism treatment, connecting thousands of families with high-quality care at one of the largest autism therapy clinics in the United States.
A game-changing approach to autism care is provided by Hopebridge Autism Therapy Centers.
The mission of Hopebridge Autism Therapy Centers is to provide the excellent care and expert treatment that children and families whose lives have been impacted by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) require and deserve.
