About

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Philosophy at Carleton College.

I specialize in Modern Philosophy with a focus on philosophy of time. I have research projects on Immanuel Kant and Anne Conway, both of whom prioritize issues about change and moral progress in their metaphysical theorizing about time. An inquiry into their accounts of time also led me to examine issues of free will. I also have a project in comparative philosophy with Dr. Hwa Yeong Wang (Duke Kunshan University).

Finally, I have a wide range of research interests in ethics, including metaphysical foundations of ethics, normative ethics, and environmental ethics.
