Dewey F. "Buddy" Hart - January 2, 1927-August 28, 2021
Mr. Hart was proceeded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Lenora Mosley Hart, his parents Joseph and Dovie Adkison Hart, 3 brothers and 6 sisters.
He is survived by his loving daughter and caregiver, Diane Hart, and numerous nieces and nephews, among them, Walter David Mosley with whom he had a particularly close bond.
Mr. Hart never met a stranger, and made friends wherever he went. His daughter wishes to acknowledge friends Robin Skipper, Ginger Hicks, and Jack and Shirley Vaughn, for their unwavering love and support, as well as the Comfort Care Hospice Blue Team for their extraordinary care and compassion.
Following the death of his wife, Mr. Hart joined the Jackals Chapter of the BFC Dance Council, where he and his companion, Teresa Davis Weaver, enjoyed many years of dancing until her death.
Mr. Hart retired from Union Envelope Company, where he began work as a machine adjuster and rose to the position of plant superintendent and Vice President before retirement. Afterward, he traveled around the country and several foreign countries installing and repairing envelope manufacturing equipment.
He was a Master Mason and perpetual member of Hoover Masonic Lodge No. 644.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 12 Noon at Currie Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. until funeral time at Currie Jefferson Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial South in Hoover, AL.
Hoover Lodge will open a funeral lodge at 11:30am on September 1 at 3445 Sierra Drive to travel to the gravesite and confer Bro. Hart's final Masonic honors.
