Making Use of Ho'oponopono
Getting on with the explanation, here is where I'll explain the process that enables the cleansing of the mind, the removal of internal blockages and the enablement of rightness.
The technique itself assumes that everything we perceive as being reality is experienced by each of our individual minds. What we see, hear and feel and even the things or people that we know or come into contact with are influenced by our inner self.
In that sense, everything around us involves our participation, mentally and emotionally. That's because when it boils down to it, we are ultimately responsible for what we think and feel.
Has it ever crossed your mind that we ourselves are often our own worst enemies?
Each thought we manifest in our minds can activate a mechanism that can either create an amazingly wonderful experience.
Or conversely, a world of problems, fears and anxieties. It is the latter scenario where ho'oponopono comes to the rescue.
The main purpose of the process of ho’oponopono is to seek to make right the cause of these problems through forgiveness. This does not necessarily require the forgiveness of others, but it does most especially require the forgiveness of oneself.
How this is done is with the understanding that whatever can and does happen to you does not matter, but what does really matter is what you do with whatever happened.
The process takes the form that if your mind and the thoughts created in it have caused you problems, then they are also able to solve those problems.
The commonly adopted, modern version of ho’oponopono comprises the repeating of a simple mantra that consists of four phrases. These are:
I’m sorry
Forgive me
I love you
Thank you
These phrases can be repeated in any order so long as they are all used together as a complete mantra that itself is repeated often.
