This privacy policy explains how the mobile game Hooky Hop (package name: com.celegen.hookyhop) handles user data. By downloading and playing the game, you agree to this policy.
Hooky Hop does not require an account and does not collect personal information such as your email address, phone number, precise location, or contacts.
Optional online leaderboard. If you use the online leaderboard, the game stores the following data on our hosted database (Supabase): the nickname you type, your best score, and an anonymous account ID that is generated automatically on your device. No email, password, or real-world identity is involved. If you never submit a score, no leaderboard data is ever created.
To preserve your progress, the following information is stored in your device's local storage:
Best score
Collected gems
Owned and equipped character skins
Sound volume setting
Whether the tutorial has been completed
Except for leaderboard submissions described in 1.1, this data is never uploaded anywhere. Uninstalling the app removes it from your device.
We use Google AdMob to display ads. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect certain data from your device:
Advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID)
IP address and approximate location derived from it (country or city level)
Device model, operating system version, and language
Ad interactions (impressions, clicks, rewarded ads watched)
Diagnostic and performance information about app usage
This data is processed directly by Google. We cannot access it in a personally identifiable form and only see aggregated, anonymous performance reports.
For details on Google's data practices:
Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
How Google uses data from partner sites and apps: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
Collected data is used only to:
Store your game progress on your device
Operate the optional online leaderboard (store and display nicknames, scores, and ranks)
Display in-game ads and grant rewards for rewarded ads
Measure ad performance and prevent fraud
Detect technical issues and improve the game
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.
You can limit personalized advertising at any time:
Android: Go to Settings → Google → Ads to reset or delete your advertising ID.
Users in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland are shown a consent screen on first launch, as required by applicable law, and can update their choices there.
Disabling personalization does not remove ads; it only stops them from being tailored to your interests.
Hooky Hop is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe your child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
Because progress data is stored only on your device, its security depends on your device's own protections. Leaderboard data is hosted by Supabase (supabase.com) on our project's database and protected by database-level access rules; only the nickname and score you submit are stored. Data collected by the advertising provider is subject to Google's retention policies.
Depending on your jurisdiction (for example under the GDPR or Turkey's KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your data. You can delete local game data at any time by uninstalling the app. You can change your leaderboard nickname in the leaderboard screen, or ask us to delete your leaderboard entry entirely via the contact email below. For advertising data, please use Google's privacy tools linked above.
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above. We encourage you to review the current version periodically.
