WELCOME TO HOOCH CARES!!

We care about you.

THEME OF THE WEEK: Self Care

What is Hooch Cares?

Hooch Cares is Chattahoochee High School's advising and mentoring program for students.

We use weekly Student Success Skills sessions and Outreach 1-to-1 mentoring to promote Hooch culture and help students grow holistically, including social and emotional growth as well as executive functioning.

Traditionally Student Success Skills consist of topics that our 9th graders engage in twice per week during Chatt Time. Student and Teacher Advisors lead students through discussion and activities centered around the weekly themes as well as the unique needs of the students, this year we will be covering both county given videos as well as Hooch specific information.

Hooch Cares Student Success Skills will be a new experience for many students, but we are maintaining our core principals such as the school's PRI (Pride, Respect, Integrity) as well as our GRIPTS (Growth, Respect, Integrity, Pride, Teamwork, Service) to advise students through their first year in high school.

Outreach 1-to-1 Mentoring provides a "Big Brother/Sister" type of approach to support predominantly 9th graders that are open to participation with parent/guardian support. Mentees meet with their Mentor weekly and discuss topics pertinent to the needs of that specific mentee. To learn more about our 1-to-1 mentoring program, click the Outreach Mentoring tab on the top right corner and scroll down to 1-to-1 Mentoring.

This year underclassmen and new students have the opportunity to be mentored 1-to-1 or in a small group through Microsoft Teams
