Please read and fully understand this Policy before using our products/services. By starting to use our products/services, you signify that you have fully understood and agreed to this Policy. If you have any questions about this Policy, you can contact us through the contact information provided in the “How to Contact Us” section of this Policy.
I. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
We adhere to the principles of lawfulness, legitimacy, and necessity to collect and use personal information that you actively provide or that is generated during your use of our products/services, for the purposes described in this Policy.
1. Account Registration and Login
When you register or log in to this App, you can create an account through the following methods:
Mobile Number/Email Registration: You can register using your mobile number or email address. We will verify your identity by sending an SMS verification code or an email verification code. For this purpose, we collect your mobile number and email address.
Sign in with Apple (iOS): You can log in using your Apple ID. We will obtain your Apple account identifier (User ID) and nickname to verify your identity and create a login session. Depending on your choice, we may also obtain your email address.
Google Sign-In: You can log in using your Google account. Please note that this login method is only available when you choose to connect to the international server. We will obtain basic information from your Google account (such as email address and nickname) for verification and to create a login session.
2. Device Connection and Control
The core function of this App is to connect and communicate with your smart device via Bluetooth (BLE). To achieve this, we need to obtain your Bluetooth permission and location permission (on some Android system versions, scanning for Bluetooth devices requires location permission). We only use this permission to scan, connect, and manage smart devices bound to you, and we do not collect your geographic location information.
After a successful device connection, to enable remote control and data interaction, this App communicates via network (including Wi-Fi and mobile networks) using the MQTT protocol. During this process, we collect your device information (such as device model, firmware version, device status) and the control commands you issue to the device through the App. This information is used to manage the device, synchronize status, and enable control functions.
3. Device Binding
To bind a smart device to your account, you need to use the camera scan function to scan the QR code on the device. For this, we need to obtain your camera permission. You can also choose to select a QR code image from your photo album, for which we need to obtain your photo album/storage permission.
4. Profile Settings
You can set your profile picture in the personal center. When you choose to take a photo or select an image from your album as your profile picture, we need to obtain your camera permission or photo album/storage permission.
5. Account Information
To ensure your account security and maintain your login status, we store your login information (such as login credentials, user ID). Apart from login information, this App does not actively collect or store other personal information. Data generated during your use of device control functions, such as device status and usage records, is used only for functionality and will not be used by us for other purposes.
6. App Updates and Installation
To provide you with the latest functional experiences and fix known issues, this App supports online update checking and downloading of installation packages. To achieve this, we need to obtain the following permissions:
Storage Permission: To download the APK update package to your device.
Install Apps Permission: To guide you through the installation after the download is complete.
We promise: The update package will only be downloaded when you actively trigger the “Check for Update” operation. We will not silently download or install any application in the background.
7. Background Operation and Auto-start
To better provide you with IoT device control services and ensure real-time device status synchronization and timely delivery of important alerts, this App needs to run in the background or auto-start in the following scenarios:
Auto-start after Device Restart: When your device restarts, this App will automatically restart the necessary background services to ensure the MQTT connection is re-established, ensuring continuity of device status synchronization and alert delivery.
Background Keep-alive: When the App is running in the background, it maintains a persistent connection with the MQTT server to receive real-time device status changes and alert information.
Scheduled Task Wake-up: The App is woken up by the system’s scheduled mechanism to perform necessary synchronization tasks, ensuring timely updates of device data.
Your Control Rights:
You can turn off the App’s auto-start permission in your phone’s system “Settings” - “App Management” - “Hontech” - “Auto-start Management”.
You can also turn off the message push function within the App’s “Settings”.
Disabling the above functions may affect the real-time status of devices and the timely receipt of alerts, but it will not affect the basic function of manually controlling the device.
8. System Broadcast Reception
To achieve the background service functions mentioned above, this App listens to the following system broadcasts:
Boot Completed Broadcast (BOOT_COMPLETED): Used to restore necessary background services after the device restarts.
Network Status Change Broadcast (CONNECTIVITY_CHANGE): Used to re-establish the MQTT connection when the network is restored.
We promise: The above broadcast receptions are used solely to realize the core functions of IoT device control and will not be used for any other purpose, nor will they trigger any auto-start behavior unrelated to the product’s functionality.
II. How We Use Cookies and Similar Technologies
To ensure the normal operation of the App, we store small data files called Cookies on your mobile device. Cookies typically contain an identifier, site name, and some numbers and characters. We will not use Cookies for any purpose other than those described in this Policy.
III. How We Share, Transfer, and Publicly Disclose Your Personal Information
1. Sharing
We do not share your personal information with any company, organization, or individual except in the following cases:
Sharing with your explicit consent.
Sharing as required by laws and regulations or by mandatory requirements of government authorities.

If an affiliate intends to change the purpose of processing personal information, they will seek your authorization again.
2. Transfer
We will not transfer your personal information to any company, organization, or individual except in the following cases:
Transfer with your explicit consent.
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or bankruptcy liquidation involving the transfer of personal information, we will require the new company or organization holding your personal information to continue to be bound by this Privacy Policy; otherwise, we will require that company or organization to seek your authorization and consent again.

2. Protection
We use security measures that meet industry standards to protect the personal information you provide and encrypt key data to prevent unauthorized access, public disclosure, use, modification, damage, or loss.
We take all reasonably practicable measures to protect your personal information. For example, when exchanging data between the App and the server, we use SSL/TLS protocol encryption.
We have established an information security responsibility department, set up a data security management system, and provide security training to employees who may have access to your information.
V. How You Can Manage Your Personal Information
You can access and manage your personal information in the following ways:
1. Access, Correct, and Delete Your Personal Information
You can view and modify your profile picture and other information in “Profile” after logging into your account. For other personal information generated during your use, if you need to access, correct, or delete it, please contact us through the contact information at the end of this Policy.

When you withdraw consent or authorization, we will no longer be able to provide you with the services corresponding to that withdrawal, nor will we process the relevant personal information. However, your decision to withdraw consent or authorization will not affect the processing of personal information carried out based on your prior authorization.
3. Delete Your Account
You can submit an account deletion application via the path within the App: “Profile” → “Settings” → “Account & Security” → “Delete Account”.
After you voluntarily delete your account, we will stop providing products or services to you and delete or anonymize your personal information in accordance with applicable laws.
