The Beauty of Honoring Aphrodite

The idea of a site dedicated to the empowerment of women already sounds incredible, there are many reasons why our site is powerful. One of the greatest things about our site is that we don't support problematic women, as we believe women who have no compassion towards others and have a bad record on social media should not be given a voice or a platform. Our data analysts and the project manager made sure to support only women who deserve it. We want the influence that comes from our site to be pure, coming from pure hearts who have made outstanding contributions to society and to their own people.

How?

HONORING APHRODITE started as a school project by HUMSS students

Daphne Tenebro, Jhayren Garcera, Justin Santos, Valerie Libor, Pia Matalog, Kharl Francisco and Jhelai Tuston. Justin and Daphne had originally thought of the website as a way to empower women with compelling and life-changing stories of women in celebration of Women Empowerment Month.

When?

The idea for the project was pitched in November of 2022, Group 2 of Section Atlas in Empowerment Technologies were asked to collaborate and brainstorm on a good website topic. The idea for women empowerment was pitched by Daphne Tenebro. The initial execution for the construction of the site began on the 3rd of December 2022, when Project Manager Daphne had given the team their first assignment.

What and Why?

The site serves as a beacon of light and hope for women across the globe who want a chance to be known for their impact on society. Honoring Aphrodite's 'Your Heroine' feature, one that allows the site's viewers to add and feature their own hero gives women that chance they've been wanting. This site serves as a platform that raises women who are relentlessly downed in a misogynistic society.

Who?

Meet Group 2 of Kaunlaran High School's Section Atlas. This team of determined students have helped each other build the site.

The Project Manager

The Project Manager serves as the captain of the team, they assign the team members their roles and assignments and they oversee all operations and content on the site

DAPHNE TENEBROThe Project ManagerThis unsmiling girl is Honoring Aphrodite's Project Manager, who oversees all operations, updates and content on the site. She also came up with the website layout's first draft, and pitched the idea for H.A with her classmate Justin.

The Data Analysts is the team that is responsible for and deals with curating. handpicking and monitoring data and content on the site, some of the Heroines featured on the site were chosen by them
