Hello! I am Hongyu Yi (pronounced “Hong-yoo Ee”), a first-year PhD student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Washington, advised by Prof. Jing Yu with great honor. I received my M.Phil. in Computer and Information Engineering and B.Sc. in Mathematics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, where I was mentored by Prof. Chenye Wu during my M.Phil. studies.
My research interests (or future directions) lie in learning, control, and optimization theory with applications in sustainable energy systems/transportation systems. Additionally, I collaborate closely with Dr. Chenbei Lu at Cornell University.
