My name is Hong Xu (许鸿). I have a Ph.D. in computer science from the University of Utah with experience in deep learning, computer vision, image processing, optimization algorithms, and machine learning. I obtained my B.Sc from Rhodes College in Memphis, TN. I am currently a research engineer at Astera Institute in Emeryville, CA.
Current responsibilities:
Conducting research at the intersection of deep reinforcement learning and neuroscience, developing brain-like AGI architectures for naturalistic 3D tasks inspired by Minecraft.
Built a modular repository which enables multiple RL agents to interface with diverse environments; designed an agent capable of navigation and task solving in these environments.
