About Me
Hongfan(Kevin) Chen is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Decisions, Operations and Technology of the CUHK Business School. His research primarily focuses on revenue management, platform economy, seller-buyer networks and optimization under uncertainty. During his PhD at Chicago Booth, he was extremely fortunate for the opportunities to work with Professor John R. Birge, Professor Ozan Candogan, Professor N. Bora Keskin (Duke), Professor Daniela Saban (Stanford) and Professor Amy R. Ward. Throughout his time in the US, he also had professional experience in data science, applied econometrics, project management, business consulting and software engineering with companies including Airbnb (San Francisco, CA), Amazon (Seattle, WA), Cox Enterprises (Atlanta, GA), Interface (Lagrange, GA), Hewlett Packard (Atlanta, GA) and ABB (Atlanta, GA).
