The Honeymoon House

“The Honeymoon House” was a name given long ago to the small house at 114 Burton Street, just west of St. Mark’s Church. It was constructed in the early 1900’s as a three-room house for an elderly woman, and the unique moniker comes from a succession of newly married couples that lived in the house in the first half of the 20th century as their first home. A rear portion to the home was added at a later date. The pictures below show work being done on the house in the 1970’s, and a more recent photo of the home.
