COVID-19 changes the world of legal documents.
When someone dies with their Estate properly arranged before their death, the Probate process CAN be somewhat simple, depending on the size of the Estate.
An Estate with assets greater than $50,000 should be handled by an attorney.
However, a Small Estate or Voluntary Administration can be done by the Executor. The paperwork is still difficult and we can help with that process.
(WITH A WILL)
An Estate with assets under $50,000.
Decedent passed WITH a Will.
Any living documents (Health Care Proxy, Living Will, and Power of Attorney) are now unusable. You need to be appointed by the Surrogates Court to liquidate the Decedent's assets.
(WITHOUT A WILL)
An Estate with assets under $50,000.
Decedent passed WITHOUT a Will.
Any living documents (Health Care Proxy, Living Will, and Power of Attorney) are now unusable. You need to be appointed by the Surrogates Court to liquidate the Decedent's assets.
