Intro

My name is Alex Axtman. I am a super senior here at Minot State, and this is my final semester! I will graduate with two majors: Computer Science and Cyber Security and Operations. I will also have a minor in Mathematics and a concentration in Honors. After all of this, I am looking to get a job somewhere in the cyber security field, ideally as a Security Analyst. I decided to get a Computer Science degree because I have always had a fascination with computers since I was a kid, so it has only seemed natural.

I intend this portfolio to display my career in the Honor’s Program. The program has been fantastic to me I and I have taken a wide variety of classes that I would never have taken if I had just stuck to my Computer Science classes. These classes have taught me to see the world in a different light and I highly value the experiences that I have gained in this program.

This portfolio will be limited to my experiences in the honors program. The assignments and projects I have completed in these classes are as varied as the classes themselves, and I am excited to get to share some of them with you. I will use artifacts that best exemplify the four goals of the honors program. These goals are: critical thinking, community awareness and involvement, communication, and cultural diversity.
