If you want a large, high-capacity towel for drying entire vehicles or handling big spills while camping, choose HOMEXCEL Professional; if you need precision application tools for ceramic coatings and glass detailing in tight spaces, choose LIRHIQYGF 20Pcs. These two products solve fundamentally different problems on the road and at home, and picking the wrong one means either struggling with an oversized cloth for delicate work or wasting hours trying to dry a massive truck with tiny pads.
• HOMEXCEL Professional: Its biggest strength is its massive surface area and deep absorbency designed for heavy water removal on large surfaces like RVs and boats; its trade-off is that it is too bulky and unwieldy for precise spot cleaning or applying thin layers of coating. This pick is for the person who needs to dry a whole vehicle quickly without leaving streaks.
• LIRHIQYGF 20Pcs: Its biggest strength is the sheer quantity and small size, offering perfect control for applying ceramic coatings and wax without wasting product; its trade-off is that the tiny 10x10cm dimensions make it useless for wiping down large panels or absorbing significant amounts of water from a wash. This pick is for the detailer focused on chemical application rather than bulk drying.
The HOMEXCEL Professional Large Microfiber Car Drying Towels are engineered for speed and capacity. When you step out of a car wash or finish rinsing your rig after a day of off-roading, you do not have time to dab at every inch of the bodywork with a small rag. You need something that grabs water instantly and holds it without dripping back onto your paint. The specifications tell a clear story here: these towels measure 31 inches by 24 inches, providing a footprint nearly twice the width of a standard sedan hood. That extra real estate allows you to glide across the metal and plastic, sweeping moisture away in broad, confident strokes.
The material composition is where this towel truly shines for outdoor use. Crafted from a blend of 87% polyester and 13% polyamide, the fabric is dense enough to hold twenty times its own weight in liquid. With over 300,000 fibers per square inch, the towel acts less like a sponge and more like a vacuum for water. This density ensures that when you are camping and your gear is wet from rain or river crossings, you can grab this towel and dry off your vehicle, your tent, or even your clothes without the fabric itself becoming saturated immediately. The lightweight nature of the microfiber means it dries quickly itself, preventing that damp, musty smell that plagues lesser cloths left in a wet car.
However, this tool is not designed for finesse. Because the cloth is so large and thick, it lacks the tactile sensitivity required for delicate tasks. If you try to use this towel to apply a ceramic sealant to a side mirror or buff a small scratch on a bumper, the bulk of the fabric will likely spread the product unevenly or leave lint behind simply due to the size mismatch. The reinforced edges prevent shrinking after hundreds of washes, making it a durable investment for anyone who washes their vehicle regularly. It is the ideal choice for the DIY enthusiast who values efficiency and wants to get their SUV or boat dried off before the sun goes down. If your goal is rapid water removal on large surfaces, this is the only logical choice.

In contrast, the LIRHIQYGF 20Pcs Ceramic Car Glass Coating Cloths serve a very specific, technical niche. These are not drying towels; they are application tools. While that might seem insignificant compared to the massive HOMEXCEL option, that compact size is exactly what makes them superior for high-end detailing work. When applying expensive ceramic coatings or waxes, waste is the enemy. A large towel absorbs a significant amount of the product, spreading it thinly but also soaking up valuable chemicals. These smaller cloths soak up the liquid efficiently while allowing you to control the exact amount transferred to the surface, ensuring you do not ruin the finish with excess buildup.
The softness and non-abrasive weave of these cloths are critical for glass and painted surfaces. The data indicates they are designed specifically for delicate surfaces, meaning they will not swirl your clear coat during application. The tight weave allows for a smooth glide, which is essential when you are working on curved windshields or complex body lines where a larger towel would bunch up and create pressure points. The fact that they come in a 20-piece pack suggests a workflow of rotation; as one cloth becomes saturated or picks up dust, you swap it for a fresh one. This prevents dragging grit across your paint, which is a common risk when reusing a single cloth for multiple sections of a vehicle.
This product is clearly intended for the meticulous detailer or the weekend warrior who treats their vehicle like a show car. It is not suitable for general washing or drying tasks. Instead, think of these as the final step in a multi-stage process. They are perfect for buffing off residue after a wash, applying a quick spray wax to a small panel, or cleaning intricate areas around door handles and emblems. If you value precision and want to ensure your expensive coatings are applied evenly without streaks or waste, this 20-piece set is the tool for the job.
• Best for bulk water removal → HOMEXCEL Professional. The 31" x 24" size and 20x weight absorption capacity make it the only viable option for drying large vehicles quickly.
• Best for precision coating application → LIRHIQYGF 20Pcs. The 10x10cm size offers the control needed to apply ceramic coatings and waxes without oversaturation.
• Best for large vehicles (RVs, Trucks) → HOMEXCEL Professional. You need the coverage area to handle the expanse of an RV roof or truck bed in minutes.
• Best for glass and tight crevices → LIRHIQYGF 20Pcs. The small footprint allows you to reach into mirrors, grilles, and around trim where a giant towel cannot fit.
• Best for minimizing product waste → LIRHIQYGF 20Pcs. The limited surface area of each cloth ensures you use only what you need for the task at hand.
• Best for long-term durability → HOMEXCEL Professional. The reinforced edges and high-density fiber count are built to withstand hundreds of wash cycles for heavy-duty drying.
• Best for versatility in a bag → LIRHIQYGF 20Pcs. Twenty small cloths take up minimal space in a camping kit or glove box compared to one large folded towel.
• Best for general household cleaning → HOMEXCEL Professional. The large size covers windows, tiles, and furniture much faster than the tiny microfiber squares.
For my personal setup, especially when I am planning a trip for camping, I would choose the HOMEXCEL Professional. Camping often involves unpredictable weather and muddy conditions where you need to dry off your vehicle rapidly before setting up camp or heading to sleep. The ability to wipe down a large SUV or a boat with a single pass is a game-changer when time is short. While the LIRHIQYGF cloths are excellent for maintenance, they are too specialized for the rugged, high-volume drying requirements of an outdoor adventure. I recommend the HOMEXCEL Professional because it solves the most immediate problem: getting your gear dry, clean, and ready for the next leg of the journey without wasting time or effort.
Yes, both options are designed to be scratch-free and non-abrasive. The HOMEXCEL Professional uses a premium blend that traps dirt without scratching, while the LIRHIQYGF cloths are explicitly noted as safe for delicate surfaces like car paint and glass.
Ideally, yes. Most serious enthusiasts use the large HOMEXCEL towels for the initial drying phase to remove bulk water, then switch to the smaller LIRHIQYGF cloths for applying protectants or doing final touch-ups on glass and trim.
Both brands emphasize durability. The HOMEXCEL towels feature reinforced edges to prevent shrinking after hundreds of washes, and the LIRHIQYGF cloths maintain their quality through repeated use, though the smaller ones may need replacement sooner due to higher turnover rates during application.
Technically you could, but it would be incredibly inefficient. Their 10x10cm size is designed for applying liquids, not absorbing the gallons of water left on a vehicle after a rinse. Stick to the larger towel for drying.
