Recipe:

Salt Dough Recipe

4 cups of flour

2 cups of salt

2 cups of water

2 tablespoons of cream of tartar

Mix with your hands (that's the fun part) until the consistency of playdough. Add more water or flour as necessary.

Steps:

Find or draw a map on blank paper and cut out

Place map on sturdy cardboard or a sturdy cardboard box top

Paint area around the map a color

Add the dough to cover the map, making sure to include elevations and rivers, lakes ...

Using paint color the map appropriately (blue - water, white for snow on mountain tops....)

Add cities, lake names, regions ...... You can use flags or labels to mark things

Let dry

Write a short Story about the people that live in your map

Remember to include all the parts of the story that we have discussed
