About me   

   I graduated first-ranked in my department's BA program and received a degree in Liberal Studies with concentrations in Political Science, History and Geography. Soon after, I started working as a teacher for the New York City Department of Education. While teaching, I also started offering test prep. My amazing experience as a specialized high school student inspired me to help students study for the SHSAT and gain admission to their dream schools. 

   I also successfully prepared students in grades 3-8 for the New York State/Citywide Math, English (ELA), and Science exams, and Algebra 1, Geometry, Living Environment/Biology, US History & Government, Global History, and English Regents exams. In addition, I have prepped students for tests such as the SHSAT, OLSAT, TACHS, HSPT, COOP, ACT, GED, ASVAB, CUNY diagnostic math exams, Accuplacer, ISEE and SSAT. Over the years, I have maintained a 100% passing rate.

I am an experienced instructor who enjoys helping student achieve success in their academic pursuits. As such, I provide homework help for all core subjects in grades K-8. Similarly, as with the test prep, I have witnessed a marked increase in performance scores after just the first lesson. My Re-Teach lessons also help to boost grades since they focus on a student's individual needs and are tailored to complement the student's classroom curriculum. For general tutoring lessons, I start by evaluating and diagnosing a student's academic needs then prescribing a course of study that enables the student to excel. Additionally, I offer advanced learning techniques, individualized tutoring, academic consulting, personalized curricula, and middle school and high school entrance assistance, in addition to many other education-related services for gifted students. I have also added the benefit of online tutoring for students who live outside New York City.

    It is my belief that my educational and practical experience provides the background that can be successfully utilized by families. Moreover, with my energy, self-confidence and punctuality, I am confident that I will be a valuable asset in the achievement of each child's educational goals.
