PRIVACY POLICY FOR HOMEPULSE

HomePulse is a home-network utility that helps users discover devices connected to their local Wi-Fi network, connect to a compatible home router, pause or resume Internet access for selected devices, create local schedules, receive schedule notifications, and run Internet speed tests.
1. INFORMATION HOMEPULSE ACCESSES
HomePulse may access:
- Local IP addresses
- MAC addresses
- Device names or hostnames
- Router/gateway address
- Device type information
- Router administrator username and password entered by the user
- HomePulse settings
- Internet schedules
- Schedule action history
- Notification preferences
- Internet speed-test results
2. HOW THIS INFORMATION IS USED
This information is used only to provide HomePulse features, including:
- Local device discovery
- Router connection and control
- Pause and Resume Internet
- Scheduled Internet controls
- Notifications
- Schedule history
- Internet speed testing
3. LOCAL STORAGE AND SECURITY
HomePulse does not currently use a developer-operated cloud account or backend database for these features.
Settings and history are stored locally on the Android device.
If the user enables Remember Router Password, the router password is protected using Android Keystore-backed encryption.
4. LOCAL NETWORK COMMUNICATION
HomePulse communicates directly with devices and the user's router on the local network.
Router credentials and router-control requests are sent to the router address on the local network for the purpose of performing requested router functions.
HomePulse does not intentionally upload router passwords or the local device list to a HomePulse developer server.
5. INTERNET SPEED TEST AND CLOUDFLARE
When the user runs an Internet speed test, HomePulse connects to Cloudflare speed-test endpoints.
Cloudflare may receive ordinary connection information such as the user's public IP address as part of providing the service.
HomePulse does not intentionally send router credentials or the discovered local-network device list to Cloudflare as part of the speed test.

6. PERMISSIONS
HomePulse may request Android permissions required for its features, including:
- Internet access
- Local Network access
- Notifications
- Exact alarms / scheduled execution
7. SHARING, ADVERTISING, AND ANALYTICS
HomePulse does not sell personal information.
The current version does not include advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs.
The Internet speed-test feature communicates with Cloudflare.
Local-router features communicate with the user's router.
8. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
HomePulse data stored locally remains until it is changed, cleared, or the application's data is removed.
Users can remove locally stored HomePulse data by:
- Android Settings > Apps > HomePulse > Storage > Clear Data / Clear Storage
- Uninstalling HomePulse
Router-side settings or parental-control rules already applied by HomePulse may remain stored on the router until removed or changed on the router.
If Internet access is currently paused for a device, it is recommended to resume the device before uninstalling HomePulse.
HomePulse does not currently provide or require a developer-hosted user account, so there is no HomePulse cloud account or cloud account data to delete.
9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
HomePulse is intended for adults or responsible users managing their own home network.
It is not designed to create accounts for children or to intentionally collect personal information directly from children.
10. ROUTER AND NETWORK COMPATIBILITY
Router-control features depend on router model, firmware, and configuration.
Some features may not be available on every router.
11. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy may be updated if HomePulse features, permissions, third-party services, or data practices change.
The effective date will be updated when material changes are made.
